Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you will develop Services opportunities within existing accounts, as well as taking services solutions to market for net new clients to Insight. You'll drive revenue growth through the sale of software volume licensing agreements, software products and IT services solutions to businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, as well as managing and growing existing accounts. 

 

  • Create and deliver a business plan on local sales strategy for generating new business with companies through various means of prospecting
  • Provide effective solutions to customers’ business needs via consultative selling
  • Attain Software and Services Quarterly GP Quota
  • Develop relationships with key vendor contacts and be a trusted advisor to clients on software licensing needs and Software Asset Management
  • Enterprise Renewals [ sales contracts] - Attain 100% of client renewals
  • Maintenance Renewals attain 35% of client renewals
  • Deliver the appropriate resources from Insight to meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Pipeline Management - ensure we have quarter visibility– all deals to be entered including EA renewals , new EA’s, EA true ups , select recurring / select renewals , prospects plus any other deals
  • Drive proposal preparation, submission and contract negotiations and associated sales presentations
  • Conduct territory planning by completing Quarterly Business Reviews for Top Accountsestablish business needs
  • Partner Engagement – meet with vendors i.e. Microsoft and seek sales leads
  • Maintain Vendor Certification as required by company

 

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good business acumen, showing evidence of ability to make sound business decisions
  • Good Time Management Skills
  • Be able to demonstrate an ongoing interest to learn about and understand IT products
  • Previous sales experience in Enterprise corporate sector, ideally in software solutions, licensing & SaaS
  • Clear evidence of consistent target over achievement in a profit and margin driven sales environment
  • Proven record of account development, in particular with a complex portfolio of products and services
