About the role

The Architect I is a client-facing AI solution architect responsible for assessing, designing, and delivering production-grade generative and agentic AI solutions that meet our clients’ technology and business needs. Incumbents lead delivery teams that consult with clients to translate business outcomes into secure, governed, and scalable AI architectures, carrying engagements from use-case discovery and proof of value through production and end-user adoption. Incumbents are subject matter experts for strategic client opportunities and help shape Insight’s AI offerings, accelerators, and partner alliances.

  • Leading AI delivery teams of client and internal personnel, managing scope, project profitability, and consultant utilization.
  • Leading AI use-case discovery, envisioning workshops, and value assessments to identify, prioritize, and quantify business and technical requirements.
  • Developing statements of work, estimates, and delivery plans that move clients from pilot to production with clear success metrics.
  • Designing end-to-end generative and agentic AI architectures, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-agent orchestration, tool and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Building and implementing solutions hands-on with platforms such as Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock, the Claude API and Agent SDK, and Databricks.
  • Establishing evaluation, testing, and observability practices for AI systems, including quality and groundedness evaluations, red teaming, cost and latency monitoring, and LLMOps pipelines.
  • Embedding responsible AI, security, and governance into every design, including identity, data protection, content safety, and alignment with frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the EU AI Act.
  • Using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate delivery, and coaching teams on AI-native development practices.
  • Training and mentoring consultants and client teams on emerging AI technology, and contributing reusable patterns, accelerators, and IP to Insight’s AI practice while maintaining a personal specialization.
  • Supporting sales and presales initiatives, including solution shaping, proposal and SOW development, technical demos, and client executive briefings.
  • Driving organizational change management and end-user adoption so AI solutions deliver measurable business value.
  • Other duties as assigned.
