Role Summary

At Insight, we are looking for a Downstream Oil & Gas Subject Matter Expert to support value chain optimization initiatives.

The role owns end‑to‑end business requirements across refining, blending, distribution, allocation, and commercial performance, while interfacing closely with upstream inputs. A dedicated technical and solution architecture lead is already assigned; this role is focused purely on Oil & Gas domain leadership and stakeholder alignment, not technical design.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide subject matter expertise across the downstream value chain, including refining, blending, distribution, and commercial operations
• Support value chain optimization and integrated planning initiatives
• Engage with stakeholders to define business requirements and identify optimization opportunities
• Contribute to strategic decision-making by bringing strong industry insight and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and program delivery
• Act as a trusted advisor in a high-impact transformation environment

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, with a strong focus on downstream operations
• Deep understanding of refining, blending, planning, and value chain optimization
• Experience in integrated planning, economics, or commercial optimization environments
• Proven ability to operate in stakeholder-heavy, advisory roles
• Background working with major operators, NOCs, or top-tier consulting firms
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Exposure to GCC markets is highly desirable
