About the Role

Are you a driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and helping clients solve complex business challenges?

At Insight, we're looking for an Account Executive II to join our high-performing sales team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and building long-term relationships with clients while delivering innovative technology solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.

You'll work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, identify growth opportunities, and position Insight as a trusted advisor across a broad portfolio of technology solutions and services.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Generate pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and long-term success.

Sales Cycle Management

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end sales process from initial engagement through to contract close.
  • Create compelling proposals and solution recommendations aligned to client requirements.
  • Accurately manage sales forecasting, pipeline health, and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Commercial & Technology Expertise

  • Develop a strong understanding of Insight's solutions and services portfolio.
  • Apply commercial acumen to identify opportunities that maximise value for both clients and Insight.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies.
  • Translate customer needs into tailored technology solutions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer objectives and delivering strategic guidance.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a business development, account management, or sales role.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Experience managing opportunities throughout the full sales lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of business drivers and customer challenges.
  • Self-motivated with a growth mindset and passion for achieving results.

You'll Stand Out If You Have

  • Experience selling technology solutions, IT services, or managed services.
  • Strong market awareness and understanding of current technology trends.
  • Experience working within complex stakeholder environments.
  • The ability to analyse business challenges and identify strategic solutions.
