Program Manager

The Business Development /Program Manager will direct a multidisciplinary team that spans various functional groups in the fulfillment of program /business development related functions.  The current requirement will support a broad range of customers all within the State and Local Government.


  • Provide competent program direction to all functional groups within the company to ensure a common understanding of program goals, requirements and discrete tasks that will lead to customer satisfaction.
  • Provide governance support for projects and operational activities to include:
  • Alignment of tasks/ business development opportunities to organizational mission and strategy
  • Development of standardized program, project, and operational procedures in line with client objectives and industry best practices
  • Adherence to documented policies and procedures
  • Support customer organizational reporting requirements up to the CIO level
  • Report in writing and orally to customer management, contract program manager, Government representatives, and IPS senior leadership on progress and status of our contract and business development activities
  • Provide oversight and guidance to teams in carrying out management priorities establish a team culture of collaboration with customer and other contractor teams in support of agency mission
  • Oversee scheduling and assignment of duties to project team members and ensure assignments are completed as directed
  • Enforce work standards and review/resolve work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements
  • Advising customer leadership on program and project status, issues, risks and other activities related to management of the technical aspects of team tasks



  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field / years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • Individual should have a minimum of five years of work experience with three years directly related to public sector contracting and/or Finance
  • Knowledge of government pricing and professional services proposals along with an understanding of government rules and regulations; a basic understanding of the federal government FAR’s is a plus
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service is mandatory
  • Proven ability to successfully guide individuals across multiple functional areas to fulfill complex, enterprise programs that support a broad user base.
  • Superior analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize complex scenarios.
  • Superior communication skills (both oral and written) inclusive of strong presentation skills.
  • Effective time management, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project planning, scheduling and resource management skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite
