Manager, Facilities

The Manager, Facilities is responsible for the successful acquisition, management, and disposition of corporate real estate and facilities for Insight’s North American office locations. This includes the evaluation and management of: occupancy cost, space and capacity planning, lease agreements, and vendor contracts. Additionally, this role has the overall responsibility for managing the organization's building services. The incumbent will utilize their technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive department’s mission forward. 

What you'll do at Insight:

 

  • Negotiate with landlords directly to obtain favorable lease agreements for new or current space. 
  • Actively promote subleasing of excess or unwanted space from current leases, including drafting sublease agreements and managing tenant relationships. 
  • Foster strong relationships across the business and work with Insight Executive stakeholders to understand requirements. 
  • Manage real estate budget and conduct analysis of project alternatives, including tenant improvements, facility relocation, and lease agreement extensions. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to reporting management and individual contributor team. Oversee Insight’s building cleaning and maintenance services. 
  • Develop a cohesive culture within department, providing best-in-class real estate and facilities services to internal clients. 
  • Ensure all Insight teammates are able to operate in a safe working environment and that all building health and safety codes are in full compliance. 
  • Manage third party relationships for facility locations, including: furniture, custodial, and construction related vendors and contractors. 
  • Establish and implement short and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. 
  • Promote and demonstrate company core values. 
  • Represents Insight in a professional and business-like manner and communicates effectively with Insight associates and stakeholders. 
  • Some travel required. 
  • Additional duties as assigned. 


What you'll need to join Insight:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred and at least 5 years in a corporate real estate management capacity in a service related industry
  • Must possess strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations
  • Must have a strong knowledge of building code regulations
  • Must be able to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives 
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring lease agreements and vendor contracts
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling
