Apple Business Development Manager

Insight Public Sector is looking for a Business Development Manager who can support our strategic partnerships with Apple in the public sector and higher education markets. You will be part of our business strategy for Apple and manage all aspects of the sales relationship, including revenue and margin growth, relationship building with the Apple channel team, and enabling the sales practice with other partners. You should be self-motivated, strategic, and familiar with the Apple channel sales role and Apple’s position in the public sector and higher education markets.

 

As an Apple Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with Insight Public Sector client representatives and partner sales teams across all sales segments to identify and target mutually profitable accounts
  • Develop and implement successful product marketing programs that are tailored to specific categories, business units, and selling venues
  • Develop competitive strategies for vendors, pricing, assortment, and merchandising
  • Engage with the IPS sales team to promote Apple in the government and higher education sectors
  • Assist in reporting for the Apple sales team and mining Insight’s past sales for new opportunities.
  • Have experience using Apple Numbers and or Excel to do financial analysis.
  • Engage with Apple’s sales team (public sector and higher education) to strengthen the partnership by facilitating partnering activities and programs that will drive positive sales growth
  • Engage with other Insight partners who complement the Apple product line
  • Meet sales and activity performance goals, including weekly pipeline report by opportunity
  • Prepare reports and communicate monthly summary of wins, losses, inhibitors, and net-new opportunities
  • Align with IPS’s strategic direction and goals for services growth and develop plans and procedures to engage Apple in these initiatives
  • Leverage your prior experience with Device as a Service (DaaS) and how it can benefit higher education institutions or government agencies
  • Educate the stakeholders and users on the benefits and advantages of using Macintosh devices in the government space.
  • Collaborate to Develop relevant data, case studies, testimonials, and demonstrations that showcase how Apple devices (Macintosh and iPad) can improve productivity, efficiency, security, and user satisfaction
  • Maintain a direct line of communication with the inside and field sales management to ensure consistent collaboration with the partner sales teams through face-to-face or virtual meetings
  • Implement internally created call campaigns by leveraging business intelligence to identify new areas of opportunity
  • Track, measure, and report on the success of these campaigns
  • Travel to present information to top management, public groups, trade shows, and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Develop and Present Apple trainings and webinars
  • Attend trainings and webinars for Apple and complimentary vendors.

The base salary range for this position is typically $60,000 - $70,000 with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
