Position Overview
As an Associate Support Engineer, you will provide level 1 & 2 engineering break/fix support, with a focus on mobile device management (MDM) and Apple products. You will handle both tool and user-reported incidents, escalating issues as needed. You will work directly with clients to communicate progress on tasks and provide recommendations for their infrastructure. What You’ll Do at Insight
- Provide daily operational management of client hardware and software configurations.
- Operate as tier 1/2 break-fix support for mobile devices, specifically Apple products.
- Fulfill engineering requests related to moves, adds, changes, and deletes on client mobile devices.
- Maintain advanced software configurations and recommend new applications and equipment, including service updates and patches.
- Function as a technical liaison and advisor for clients in mobile device management.
- Execute analysis of client environments and remediation tasks based on industry best practices.
- Implement formal written summaries and action plans along with root cause analysis reports for clientele management.
- Formulate and maintain knoweldge articles for mobile environment
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provisioning, break/fix, and managing Apple devices.
- Provide support for mobile devices with a higher level of expertise, specifically Apple products.
- Handle demanding end users and escalations with sensitivity.
What You’ll Need to Join Insight
- Education: BS/BA preferred; technical degree in Engineering, MIS, CIS, etc., preferred.
- Certifications: Experience with MDM solutions, particularly Mobile Iron or MS Intune, preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years in business, consulting, or technology-related work.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of Apple products (iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches).
- Experience with MDM solutions, particularly Mobile Iron or Intune.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly document systems and procedures.
- Ability to follow established change control procedures.
- Independent work capability and a desire to grow knowledge and skills.
- Positive attitude and strong desire to please.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required due to computer work.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required, including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
Work Environment
- Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
Location and Schedule
- Location: Onsite in Newport Beach, CA, five days a week.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-5 or 9-6.
