We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated QA Automation Engineer  with core troubleshooting and investigative experience. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts. You will help define test plans and strategies that will ensure that new features meet requirements while protecting existing functionality against regression. You will be a key member of the scrum team, participating in the full lifecycle of user stories to ensure that each story is adequately defined, has a plan for how the automation portion of the acceptance criteria will be tested, and is tested sufficiently to ensure its acceptance criteria are met. 

Essential duties:


  • Identify and select the automation test cases
  • Create an automation test plan
  • Create, enhance, debug, and run the test cases
  • Collate and monitor the defect management process
  • Manage the changes and execute regression tests
  • Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing
  • Research and analyze product features being tested
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
  • Identify any potential problems that users might encounter
  • Document results of tests for the software development team
  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
  • Collaborate with the software developers to enhance and improve programs
  • Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5+ years of development experience (.Net, Java, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and experience using Selenium (or similar testing frameworks)
  • Strong communication skills, related to questions, issues, and approach to tasks
  • Desire to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
  • High integrity, with a proactive, positive approach to work
  • Knowledge of and participation in all stages of the SDLC
  • Experience testing large and complex systems
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Education: BA/BS Computer Science or equivalent


Preferred Knowledge/Experience: 

  • SpecFlow or Cucumber
  • Defining test plans for scrum user stories
  • Pparticipating in and representing QA during story refinement, asking clarifying questions, and bringing deep application knowledge to the discussion
  • Test case management and defect tracking software (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Breadth of knowledge across Microsoft Azure products & solutions

  • Have completed twelve (12) months service in their current position
  • Not be under a disciplinary evaluation or suspension period
  • Have satisfactory performance in their current position
  • Have their current manager/supervisor recommendation
