 Location: This is a hybrid in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Pune and Trivandrum area.

About The Role:

Role will actively lead the Data Operations Team in maintaining & establishing frameworks to make our data services become optimized and scalable. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of data management and analytics processes within the organization, overseeing data operations, implementing frameworks & standards, and providing continuous improvement in data-related workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

* Experience in building and troubleshooting with Azure Datalake, Data Factory, SQL, PySpark, Fabric (Secondary), Databricks, and Unity Catalog (above 3+ years)

* Oversee the day-to-day operations including monitoring, data observability, data ingestion, regular checks for issues, anomalies, bottlenecks & issue resolution.

* Identify bottlenecks and proactively address performance issues to ensure high availability and responsiveness.

* Lead data incident management processes, including data outages, breaches, or data-related disruptions.

* Support the team to take the capabilities of the platforms and put them into an operational practice.

* Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues. This may involve investigating errors in logs, debugging code, and working with other teams to identify and resolve the root cause of problems.

* Design, implement and sustain a DataOps framework, facilitate cross-team collaboration, optimize processes & tools, leverage testing automation

* Provide support for Data Engineer L2s and L3s. This may involve answering their questions, reviewing their code, and helping them to troubleshoot problems.

* Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for the team. This helps to ensure that everyone on the team has the knowledge and skills they need to be successful.

* Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends. This helps the team to stay ahead of the curve and to adopt new technologies that can improve their work.

* Managing the team's shift rotation and resource planning for 24x7. This ensures that there is always someone available to support the team in the event of a critical issue.

* Working with other teams to improve the projects data and workflows. This may involve collaborating with the DevOps team to automate deployment and testing processes, or working with the Security team to implement security measures.

* Mentor, monitor and grow including performance management of individual contributor.

* Extensive experience in data operations, data management, or related roles.

* Comprehensive understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data lifecycle management.

* Good experience in data operations, cloud infrastructure management, or data engineering roles, especially in a cloud-based environment.

* In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure and related services for data storage, data processing, and infrastructure provisioning.

* Understanding data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for data security and compliance.

* Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines, architecture, and deployment of data pipelines, connecting diverse data sources to consolidated repositories.

What we’re looking for

Qualifications:

* 8+ years of experience in Data and Analytics in various roles where you have demonstrated the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information.

* 3+ years of experience in leading Data & Analytics Teams; experience in handling and leading teams, providing a collaborative and inclusive work environment. (Handled at least 4-5 members, maintain the roasters)

* 4+ years of experience in ITIL processes - Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management processes. Good to have certification on ITIL and CI/CD, Azure Devops.

* Flexible schedule - this role may require working in shift along with on-call & weekend/ holiday availability. Shift timings- 24*7, Rotational (The existing team is working till 3:00 am )

* Preference will be Hyderabad/ Bangalore however, we can look from any hiring locations.
