Business Analyst Sr

The Business Analyst Sr is responsible for the development of effective and efficient business and/or reporting processes. Incumbents provide analysis and reporting on departmental/group revenue, expense, and strategic projects. This position will drive profits and cut costs. Incumbents provide leadership and technical support to other Business Analyst position.

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and recommend business process changes and improvements across the organizations systems and processes.
  • Participate in cross functional process/system design and development efforts to ensure optimal end to end solutions.
  • Introduce and maintain highly repeatable and reliable processes, as well as supporting standards.
  • Develop methodology and document business or data and reporting processes. Ensure process documentation is current.
  • Define, implement, and manage data and reporting process and standards
  • Manage multiple process/system improvement projects simultaneously.
  • Lead teams through business process analysis, requirements definition, problem solving and change management.
  • Identify the need for and plan change management to ensure a seamless transition from existing processes to new processes.
  • Conduct process analysis using standard data analysis and interview techniques. Need to be able to communicate with all levels of the organization in order to obtain information needed quickly.
  • Facilitate meetings with process owners to define new processes or fix existing processes. Encourage participation from team members to share knowledge and drive decisions regarding process improvement and change management.
  • Back up support for other team members to assist with system questions or support.
  • Mentor and train Business Analyst I, Business Analyst II teammates.
  • Learn new business processes with little direction.
  • May use statistical analysis to identify trends and explore impact analysis and projections using data
  • Other duties as assigned.


What you’ll need to join Insight

  • BS/BA required with a concentration in a business discipline preferred. Skills required vary based the team assigned to.
  • For Services, must have 5 years’ experience in requirements definition, project management, change management and problem solving in a service business environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with any CPQ tool.
  • CRM/Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Experience with process improvements across different departments within an organization required.
  • Specific experience in contracts, help desk, time reporting, resource management, outsourcing and billing a must. For Business Intelligence
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in requirements definition, project management, change management and problem solving preferably in an analytical role.
  • 5 years experience defining, documenting data / reporting requirements and building reports to satisfy business needs. Specific experience in statistical and impact analysis is a must.
