Description:
Our energy-sector client is seeking an IT Infrastructure and Security Analyst with a strong background in security, Microsoft technologies, Field OT/IT Support, and general IT infrastructure to join their team for a one-year contract employment opportunity. The successful IT Infrastructure and Security Analyst will work on-site with the business and across the IS and IT teams, providing essential IT Infrastructure support. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is looking to contribute to impactful projects. The candidate will work in Canada and collaborate with IT teams in the USA.
Responsibilities:
1. General IT Infrastructure:
• Proficient in VMware and virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Support critical physical infrastructure in data centers.
• Maintain and improve Citrix environments.
• Design and maintain Azure Architect solutions.
• Implement disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam.
• Manage storage solutions like NetApp and contribute to retiring tape libraries.
• Data center consolidation and relocation of disaster recovery site.
• Deploy and manage policies via MS GPO and In-Tune.
• Manage internal WiFi networks, including guest and corporate segmented WiFi.
• Familiar with network products from Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, Zscaler and Meraki.
2. Security:
• Comprehensive security expertise across various domains.
• Setup and configure MS Defender for Enterprise.
• Conduct OT security site assessments.
• Implement security frameworks and Conditional Access on Azure.
• Deploy phishing-proof MFA solutions.
• Utilize Knowbe4 for security awareness training and maintain a Human Firewall.
• Manage and monitor security with Arctic Wolf and Sentinel.
• Perform regular security patching.
• Manage Azure PIM and break glass accounts.
• Implement network micro segmentation strategies for head office and field sites, focusing on SCADA and PLC products.
3. Exchange and Licensing:
• Lead the retirement of on-premises Exchange servers.
• Manage Microsoft licensing, including M365.
4. Collaboration Tools:
• Expertise in Microsoft Teams, including enterprise voice and Cisco Phones.
• Retire landline phones.
• Provide SharePoint support to team members.
• Proficient in Yammer (or Viva Engage) for internal communications.
5. Governance:
• Implement and manage eDiscovery and Purview solutions.
6. Identity Management:
• Expert in Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and supporting an SSO ecosystem.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant IT experience. This is an intermediate to Sr. role.
• Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. During scheduled or emergency changes, they will need to be available for afterhours support. They will be compensated accordingly.
• This role requires the individual to work in the office, with no option for remote or home working.

• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Cloud+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
