Director of M&A Integration
We are looking for an exceptional teammate who is comfortable at 10,000 ft strategic altitude as well as diving into operational nuts and bolts. The ideal candidate will be an operationally focused and commercially experienced leader who excels in partnering and influencing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This individual will be focused on managing M&A integration activities globally including operational and confirmatory due diligence and post-merger integration. This individual will work with senior executives on strategic integration issues while ensuring acquisition targets meet/exceed their commercial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead M&A integration strategy, planning and execution.
- Participate in end-to-end deal lifecycle from pipeline to due diligence to deal close and provide programmatic leadership and program management for the successful post-close integration, delivering on all acquisition objectives.
- Closely partner with senior executives and functional workstream leaders to architect, plan and execute integration for our M&A deals.
- Own integration plans and milestones, deal governance, day-to-day execution of the integration process and manage decisions and progress reports for the Integration team.
- Surface critical issues/risks/roadblocks and drive them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity; drive timely and objective decision-making with sound advice and good judgment.
- Develop success milestones and metrics aligned with transaction value drivers, monitor integration success and report outcomes to the organization.
- Improve integration outcomes by demonstrating industry standard methodologies and applying post-integration learnings.
- Ensure and manage effective communications to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven M&A integration experience in a technology company or a leading integration consultancy firm
- Significant direct participation in multiple prior M&A transactions leading through the diligence and integration phases.
- Exceptional program and project planning, management and tracking skills
- Desire to lead multiple projects and demonstrated experience with complex, cross-functional business issues and operations.
- Ability to spot and operationalize breakthrough revenue synergy opportunities.
- Strong business acumen with direct leadership experience in at least one senior operational/functional role (GTM, G&A etc.)
- Easily establishes rapport and effective relationships, while driving accountability for shared results
- Able to build and sustain strong relationships at multiple levels internally and with partners; high emotional intelligence and an ability to challenge in a nuanced way; influencing areas of the business that are not under direct control will be critical.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology or related field
