Director of Resource Management

Role Summary:

Insight US Services is seeking a head of Workforce Excellence with direct oversight and accountability for the end to end operational and strategic function to align with business growth objectives

 

Position Overview

  • Role will lead workforce management and capacity planning for the Services organization in North America with over 5,000 teammates
  • Lead initiatives and implement forecasting and supply and demand principles around utilization, delivery pyramids, and resource cost structures to drive efficient and productive project delivery across the Services portfolio
  • Implement Supply and Demand resource fulfillment function that incorporates bench management and skills and revenue demand forecasting and drives staffing of deals in an optimal way
  • Develop optimized supply chain across the workforce leveraging internal mobility, external hiring, contingent workforce, and offshore delivery
  • Drive workforce planning processes and decisions that enable the business to identify and fulfill current and future resource needs; partners with HR Business Partners to develop and execute on action plans to leverage existing talent or to acquire future talent
  • Partner with leadership to create annual hiring plan while aligning throughout the year on headcount evolution and work with HR and external recruitment teams to execute on hiring plans
  • Partner with leadership on capacity actions to address over capacity areas
  • Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, Finance, and Legal to provide elevated transparency of supply, demand, resource allocation, actuals and forecast for pending deals and to establish links to processes in these functions for actions and reporting of financial and compliance impacts related to these topics
  • Evolve and implement distributed delivery models, including offshore and nearshore staffing and early hire programs
  • Manage team of resource managers while actively supporting their development by providing coaching and opportunities for growth and advancement
  • Create and deliver reporting and analytics to leadership on bench management, resource cost and pyramid evolution, delivery leverage and other key metrics

 

Essential Functions

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. and B.A.) from a four-year college or university; education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Management strongly considered. 
  • 15+ years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  
  • 5+ total years of experience in comparable role in professional services organization (inclusive of workforce transformation, client delivery, project management)
  • 10+ years of prior management experience
  • Solid problem solving and consultative skills a must.   
  • Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented 
  • Strong project management skills culminating in timely effective results 
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in gathering knowledge, problem solving and getting things completed
