Intern - Public Relations/Social Media

Chandler, AZ, US

Requisition Number: 89756

Job Description:

Are you a budding public relations and social media pro looking to foster great media relationships and who has a knack for storytelling? Are you someone who cares about making a positive change on the world and interested in sharing how technology can be a force for good? Then you could be a fantastic fit as a PR intern for a fast-rising, global Fortune 500 company, sharing a brand story of a solutions integrator helping the biggest names in business accelerate their digital journey to modern business.

We are seeking an intern interested in all aspects of the PR and social media fields who can implement the team’s strategic approach to elevating the company brand through earned and owned media approaches. The intern will gain visibility into the inner workings of traditional and social media strategies, as well as community relations campaigns; collaborate with a robust marketing department and external PR agency; and provide concrete deliverables across our organic social networks and via our teammate social advocacy platform. This energetic professional also will help us develop our 2023 Insight Corporate Citizenship Report, highlighting: our company’s commitment to the U.N. Global Compact; how we live up to our hunger, heart and harmony values; and our progress on Environmental, Social, and Governance issues. We work as fast as our industry is changing and look for teammates who are nimble and self-motivated to lead from the front.

This is a paid position for someone who is available to work 20-30 hours per week; we work a hybrid schedule split between time at our Chandler headquarters and work from home.

What you’ll do at Insight:

  • Fully support the company’s PR and Brand communications objectives by developing, implementing and managing our social media strategy.
  • Help lay the groundwork for the 2023 Insight Corporate Citizenship Report, gathering ESG data and stories from across the company, helping create a report outline and theme, and suggesting new ideas based on market research.
  • Assist the PR manager in developing a business and communications strategy for our Reach community-giving program, enabling a more promising future for children through technology and STEM-based education.
  • Create and curate engaging content, including press releases, thought leadership articles, social badges, and other multimedia.
  • Own and schedule content that lives across Insight’s social channels via our Sprinklr social media management platform; maintain performance dashboards.
  • Work with content strategists across our various marketing, brand, partner and internal communications teams to land engaging social content for their specialty areas.
  • Assist in moderating our teammate social advocacy platform, Insight Social, by producing and managing content and ensuring an engaging user experience.
  • Create and curate engaging content for key senior executives on their personal LinkedIn and Twitter profiles.
  • Contribute to the public relations agency relationship and leverage their expertise, relationships and strategic perspectives, working collaboratively to add strategic value to media campaigns.
  • Assist in administrative duties like maintaining weekly PR and social media status reports and metrics to illustrate the value of our PR programming.
  • Build and update media lists and databases.
