Manager Commissions

Manager Commissions will be responsible for leading the day-to-day governance and administration of sales incentive compensation programs in North America.  Objectives for this role will include driving operational process improvements in sales compensation program management, compensation adjustments, monthly payouts, and improving the scalability of program tools.  This role requires working with North America partners in HR, Legal, Sales, Finance, Business Operations, and our Revenue teams to ensure the proper sales compensation account alignment, quota, calculation, delivery, and execution.  Cross-team coordination, time management, and excellent communication skills are essential.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review and oversight of sales incentive compensation programs.
  • End-to-end ownership of calculated incentive programs for North America.
  • Owner of the administration, documentation, communication, and training of the programs, while ensuring operational excellence, insight, and efficiency. 
  • Actively manage and mentor a team.
  • Own North America processing and administration of SPIFF programs.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Payroll to provide accurate and timely payments.
  • Resolve commissions questions/disputes from sales employees and the leadership team in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on sales incentives comp programs.
  • Be a change leader to dramatically improve the effectiveness of our sales compensation program through process improvements based on data driven analysis on various items (SPIFFs, Adjustments, etc).  with quality output and resource usage across the operations team.

 

 

What you’ll need to work at Insight:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience with Incentive Compensation Management experience a plus
  • 3 years of experience in specialty or related field. 
  • 2 years management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees and effectively
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
