Paid Media Specialist

As a Paid Media Specialist for the Technology Digital Marketing and Operations team at Insight, you will be responsible for planning and executing strategic multi-channel advertising campaigns, that align with Insight's sales and marketing goals, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to build data-driven paid media plans that deliver Return on Investment (ROI). You will act as the main point of contact for the communication and implementation of paid media marketing campaign tactics. In addition to paid media knowledge, you should understand creative development and A/B testing of creative assets and ad copy.

 

 

As a Paid Media Specialist, you will:
 

  • Immerse yourself in our technology business at Insight from day one, understanding Insight’s goals for the business and the strategic direction of our partnerships with key manufacturers
  • Strategize, implement, and optimize ongoing advertising campaigns across programmatic, social, search and other advertising platforms.
  • Become a subject matter expert on technology trends and risks within advertising in a B2B environment
  • Drive effective execution of the advertising strategy while meeting key timelines and KPIs
  • Provide ongoing feedback/reporting to make necessary optimizations and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Provide recommendations around areas of new opportunity and potential budget and channel investments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing team to provide advertising recommendations that meet Insight and partner goals
  • Manage advertising invoices and work with our internal accounting team to maintain budgets

Education

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing or other related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in marketing
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft suite of collaboration tools (Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.)

 

Advertising planning and execution

  • Demonstratable knowledge of paid advertising marketing channels, tactics, and best practices
  • Demonstratable experience creating advertising strategies and campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines at once
  • Ability to communicate with project-stakeholders and different advertising agencies

Industry knowledge and business acumen

  • Understanding of B2B marketing and sales approaches
  • Understanding of how to effectively market hardware solutions
  • Elementary understanding of trends, risks and dependencies of the B2B technology market
  • Ability to perform market research, analyze and turn data into actionable insights

Results oriented/Decision-making

  • Create and meet deadlines while managing time efficiently and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cross functionally with teams to achieve deliverables.
  • Ability to pivot plans when needed to meet desired goals.
  • Experience using analytics and metrics to help guide team and drive towards quarter over quarter improvements in the performance of demand generation efforts.
  • Self-starter with exceptional aptitude for understanding complex technical concepts, ability to follow through and lead others.

Preferred experience

 

  • Technology experience preferred
  • Business-to-business marketing experience preferred
  • Experience marketing for hardware vendors is a plus
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations is a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing and project management software such as Workfront, Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, etc. is a plus
  • Google AdWords or Facebook Certification is a plus
