Partner Marketing Manager

As a Partner Marketing Program Manager at Insight, you will be the marketing leader for one of our strategic technology partners. In this role, you will collaborate with the Insight product management team to execute sales enablement and demand generation strategies to support sales pipeline growth and revenue, while aligning to Insight’s strategic go-to-market growth goals. You will act as the main point of contact for the communication and implementation of marketing campaign tactics that accelerate revenue and margin performance.

 

Additionally, you will be leading objectives that grow channel relationships and the overall marketing investment. You will work with a cross-functional team to effectively problem solve and provide compelling solutions that align with Insight's goals. You will be responsible for the management of and reporting for your partner’s marketing programs making sure their investment is maximized across Insight's full portfolio of clients (solution area and GTMs), and that profitability goals are met along with proof of performance requirements to ensure all funding is collected.

This role has a variable compensation component based on achievement of quarterly business goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand each of Insight’s solution areas, their goals, and how your partner can contribute or align to achieve mutual success. You will also be expected to be up to date with all things Chrome OS including the growth strategies for Chrome OS at Insight.
  • Build relationships with the partner/s – confirm their MDF spend with Company for the quarter or half, and build out strategic go-to-market plans based on current Company Initiatives that are executing (some of these initiatives may be marketing campaigns that Insight has already created, that can promote products or solutions), as well as understand the goals of the partner (goals, marketing tactics, what audience are they trying to target, are they wanting to focus on lead gen or awareness campaigns, or both, etc.)
  • Develop, launch and manage comprehensive and effective demand generation campaigns to grow Insight’s overall business. Execute targeted activities and oversee lead follow-up and conversion rates to be handed to business development team.
  • Define key GTM initiatives to deliver performance against Insight’s key goals
  • Build and execute on GTM strategies. 
  • Build and execute on joint-marketing campaigns, build target lists for sales, pull together incentives, etc.
  • Define key GTM initiatives to deliver performance against key goals
  • Deliver trainings to sales teams
  • Organize and help lead cross-departmental initiatives
  • Work between partners, sales and solutions organizations to maintain an understanding of current pipeline and projects to develop revenue forecasts up to 12 months out.
  • Support and serve business as go-to liaison between partner/vendor and other groups within Insight, such as our services business units.
  • Managing operational strategies and budget for lines of business.  This includes working with multiple Insight and partner tools to manage business and growth.
  • Facilitate and drive alignment between field teams with the Partner and the various Insight account teams.
  • Become a solutions expert on the Insight line of business. 
  • Serve as an expert that others reach out to when they are stuck on a question of product capabilities, changes, roadmap, etc
  • Once GTM Plan is complete, will support in moving the plan forward with an agency or internal resources
  • Ensure all necessary detail around campaign launch date requirements, invoice info, partner POP requirements, and results are reported to partner accounting
  • Work between partners, sales, and solutions organizations to maintain a understanding of current pipeline and projects to develop revenue forecasts up to 12 months out
  • Communicate progress & opportunities from campaigns
  • Support Partner Marketing Development Fund (MDF) utilization and work with partners to plan MDF activities.
  • Track, measure, and report results and ROI of marketing campaigns.
  • Manage existing partner relationships ensuring the partners are informed, enabled and driving actions to grow their revenues with Insight


 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bs/Ba in Business, Marketing or other related field, MBA or similar post graduate education is a plus
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in marketing or product management within a Business-to-Business sales organization.
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing and project management software such as Workfront, Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, etc. preferred
  • Data Analytics experience preferred
  • Client-facing event planning experience preferred
  • Content strategy experience preferred
  • Technology experience preferred
  • Business-to-business marketing experience preferred
  • Experience marketing for software and/or other hardware vendors is preferred


Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Marketing planning and execution - Experience working with complex marketing stacks to develop integrated (digital and traditional) campaigns or marketing programs. Understanding of CRM/Digital Marketing tools as well as traditional marketing channels, and budget management. Ability to demonstrate managing multiple projects with competing deadlines at once is necessary for success in this role.
  • Results oriented/Decision-making – Create and meet deadlines while managing time efficiently and prioritizing in a multi-tasking environment. Ability to work cross functionally with teams to achieve deliverables. Ability to pivot plans when needed to meet desired goals. Experience using analytics and metrics to help guide team and drive towards quarter over quarter improvements in the performance of demand generation efforts.
  • Effective communication - Articulate communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to adapt your communication style to an audience. Ability to demonstrate utmost professionalism in all situations.
  • Relationship building - Highly collaborative work style. Experience working in matrixed organizations is a plus.
