Position: Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
Job Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including architecture diagrams, data models, and system flow charts.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and developers to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective cloud solutions that enhance system performance and operational efficiency.
- Lead and execute cloud migration projects, performing workload migrations to GCP and building hybrid-cloud solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes and Anthos.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and build automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment, configuration, and environment provisioning.
- Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and security testing to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance; perform software flow analysis and unit/integration testing.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture artifacts and user manuals, and provide enhancements to existing cloud environments to improve usability and performance.
- Position is based out of Chandler, AZ HQ but telecommuting is permitted on case by case basis.
Job Requirements:
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related. Employer will accept a foreign equivalent degree if in the same field.
Experience Requirements:
- 60 months of experience in job offered, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Architect, or closely related
Special skills requirements:
- Design of client's cloud-based systems and infrastructure with a focus on AWS and GCP and demonstrate Technical Cloud Architectural knowledge.
- Playing a vital role in the design of production staging, QA, and development Cloud Infrastructures-as-code solutions running in 24x7 environments.
- Delivery of customer Cloud Strategies aligned with customer's business objectives and with a focus on Cloud Migrations.
- Develop capabilities and improve infrastructure for logging, tracing, monitoring, alerting and contributing to the Core Compete Agile Analytics Service evolution.
- Provide leadership in Infrastructure migration. methodologies. and techniques into the cloud for large enterprises.
- Manage customer's Big Data Infrastructures in a production environment to ensure high availability, scalability and reliability.
- Nurture cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive cloud adoption. Lead training design, documentation, and delivery effort in concert with other project l am members.
