About the role 

As a Senior Partner Business Development Manager, you will get to:

  • Coordinate sales between Insight and partner teams.
  • Promote partner programs and products.
  • Maintain a flexible travel schedule for meetings.
  • Communicate directly with sales management for collaboration.
  • Prepare monthly reports on wins, losses, and opportunities.
  • Follow up on partner lead lists and gather feedback.
  • Track and report on call campaign effectiveness.
  • Achieve and drive partner certifications quarterly.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients.
  • Attend training sessions and webinars as directed.
  • Communicate Insight’s value proposition at all levels.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or 8-10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of seven years in channel IT sales, managing large accounts.
  • Must have Tier 1 vendor experience and knowledge.
  • Proven track record of exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare technology industry is essential.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and develop trust at all organizational levels.
  • Solid problem-solving and consultative skills.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Position Insight as a solution for business needs.
  • Introduce new solutions to meet client challenges.
  • Build relationships with strategic vendor partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technology initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities (Datacenter & Power Solutions Focus)

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including the ability to accurately size environments based on workload demands, power consumption, and thermal output.
  • Assess and articulate wattage expectations and requirements for various datacenter configurations, ensuring alignment with client needs and operational constraints.
  • Differentiate Vertiv’s power and cooling solutions from competitors by highlighting their scalability, modularity, and integration capabilities in both edge and core datacenter environments.
  • Educate internal teams and clients on the unique value proposition of Vertiv’s portfolio, including how these solutions address uptime, energy efficiency, and futureproofing.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to translate complex datacenter requirements into actionable solution designs that align with Insight’s and partners’ strategic goals.
  • Stay informed about evolving data center trends, including sustainability initiatives, high-density compute environments, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, and incorporate this knowledge into client engagements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on datacenter readiness, helping clients evaluate site-level requirements such as power availability, redundancy, cooling capacity, and space planning.
  • Partner with sales and engineering teams to develop and deliver compelling proposals that showcase Vertiv’s ability to meet diverse datacenter challenges across industries.
