About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Accounting to lead our Product Revenue Team within the Global Controller organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting for product revenue, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards, and driving the month-end financial close process. Reporting to the Director of Finance, Product Revenue & Cloud Finance Operations this role will play a critical part in managing revenue recognition, cost analysis, and financial reporting for our global operations.

 

As a Sr Manager, Accounting you will:

  • Lead the revenue accounting process for product revenue, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies
  • Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, disclosures, and financial statements
  • Ensure month and quarter end closing schedules are maintained
  • Oversee the daily revenue reporting process and respond to ad-hoc inquiries from business and finance teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership, internal customers, and employees
  • Analyze and interpret revenue data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-standard transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development
  • Analyze revenue and cost fluctuations, applying GAAP principles to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Identify process improvements, develop/document solutions for improvements and drive execution of the improvements
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed
  • Lead ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
  • Establish a culture of ownership and accountability to uphold Company's accounting policies and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance
  • Recruit, hire and develop an extended US and international teams

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from a four-year College or University
  • CPA certification required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years in a manager or supervisor role
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404
  • Experience working with ERP systems, SAP, BPC and PowerBI skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build, develop, and motivate teams, provide direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally, with the ability to resolve and escalate issues
  • Experience in the technology or software industry preferred
  • Proven track record of process improvement and automation initiatives preferred
