Sr. Engineer – Network
Position Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer
Location: Remote
Job Reports to: TI M&A Lead | Networks 

W2 Contract Rate- $65-$80 Based on experience

 

Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to bring technology infrastructure projects to life,
focused on normalizing the CBB network from its inorganic growth. The Network Engineer will design,
document, implement and support end-to-end solutions for Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures. This
role will also own network architecture for Networks, OT and DC consolidation critical programs.

 

Essential Duties:
• Provide network architecture and solution design support for M&A/Divestiture initiatives
• Scout, document, and learn the network construct of the acquired/divested entity
• Prepare network documentation such as SOPs, diagrams, network playbooks and training material
• Prepare and execute an integration plan, hardware requirements, IP provisioning and configuration
• Collaborate with the Network Security and Cyber Security teams on security standards and gaps
• Engage with infrastructure teams to ensure network architecture best practices are in place
• Ensure quality of delivery in a controlled manner, ensuring risk and impact are clearly articulated
• Think critically to solve complex issues both with a team as well as independently
• Action plans and adhere to project timelines
• Outline and design dashboards to gauge the effectiveness of CBB’s infrastructure
• Ensure effective decommissioning of legacy services for Networks
• Focused on Network Monitoring, footprint analysis and ways to improve it
• Troubleshoot escalated network issues and recommend architecture changes
• Peer review of solution designs and business requirements while providing recommendations
• Leverage existing and emerging technologies to identify solutions that reduce costs, increase
efficiencies and provide more value while reducing risks

 

Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience within Networks and Technology
• 5+ years of experience planning, designing and driving architecture
• 5+ years of relevant experience in M&A/Divestiture
• CCNP or equivalent experience preferred (relevant certs are a plus)
• ITIL Foundation preferred
• Demonstrate a proven understanding of WAN technologies, including software-defined (SDWAN)
• Demonstrate a proven understanding of wireless and authentication (Single SSID a plus)
• Demonstrate a proven understanding of VPN infrastructure, IPSec and Security Cloud (Zscaler)
• Hands-on knowledge of Routing Protocols, ISP Services and Network Management
• Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and Azure Network/Security Features
• Hands-on knowledge of Security Appliances (FortiNet experience a plus)
• Motivated Self-starter and initiative to build new processes and improve existing ones
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security best practices
• Demonstrate a proven understanding of Project Management
• Automation methodologies, coding frameworks, scripting and orchestration tools a plus: C#/.NET,
PowerShell, Python, Ansible, TerraForm, Perl, ARM, Ruby or similar
