Strategic Analytics and Tools Lead

Overview

​The Strategic Analytics and Tools Lead is responsible for developing analysis, reporting, and tools needed to drive pricing strategies and margin optimization across the business. This position reports to the Director of Pricing and works across Pricing, Sales, and Client Ops teams to assess bundling and deal structuring, build and maintain tools to guide deal pricing and discounting, and conducting and presenting analyses to drive overall business results. This position requires a strong ability to interface with key business partners and executive leadership to drive adoption of tools and analytics across the organization. This is a REMOTE position.

Key Responsibilities

•Garner a strong understanding of our value proposition and be well market informed

•Develop knowledge of category strategies, client purchase patterns, and key economic levers as inputs into overall pricing strategy to drive sales growth across product offerings and generate reports to supplement recommendations

•Collaborate with Pricing Strategy & Analytics team on strategic and tactical product bundling, increasing customer win rates, and building dashboard analytics

•Analyze large account quoting and win rate patterns across customers to maximize product bundling promotions and optimize exposure

•Build guidelines for product promotion bundle marketing, timing strategies, and personalized recommendations, supported by financial and customer demand analysis

•Facilitate price optimization for product bundles; generate metrics for product bundle price testing across different variables

•Drive organizational alignment on recommending products to customers and selling complex product bundles

•Generate metrics for pricing analysis by translating business objectives into actionable analysis

•Support development of dashboards and deliver high-impact analytic solutions to product pricing

•Own end-to-end analytics for potential areas of growth and opportunity for our company

•Consolidate dashboard reports into digestible content and understand impact of storytelling through data

•Communicate pricing reporting for the business, business leadership, and key stakeholders (price performance, dashboards, assessment of strategy)

•Support development of pricing communication to internal audiences, clients, and vendors/suppliers

•Drive recommendations through dashboards for large scale strategy planning and maintain executive dashboards to report to executives

Position Requirements

​This position requires knowledge of B2B pricing and pricing in distribution, as well as strong skills in quantitative methods acquired through formal education and/or on-the-job experience. Strong analytical skills are required to drive complex analytics to support pricing strategies and initiatives. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to influence the organization, including sales teams. Strong teaming and collaboration skills are required to operate effectively across the business.

​Minimum requirements include:

•Degree in field related to Business, Mathematics, Economics, or similar requirements

•Minimum 3+ years experience in pricing, finance, deal/bid desk, operations or similar positions

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Demonstrated ability to manage complex analyses, summarize, and implement recommendations

Prior work in cross-functional environments, with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with sales and related teams

 

The base salary range for this position is typically $80,000-$100,000 with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
