About the role

As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for documenting, implementing, and executing technical & non-technical communication plans in support of Insight’s Enterprise Business Planning (EBP) transition from SAP to Workday. We will count on you to focus on bridging the gap between technical system architecture and end-user adoption. Along the way, you will get to:

  • Bridge the Knowledge Gap: Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HR, Finance, and eCommerce teams to document "as-is" SAP processes and "to-be" Workday workflows, ensuring all facilities are aligned.
  • Develop Technical Documentation: Research, write, and maintain a comprehensive library of technical manuals, user guides, API documentation, and system configuration records specific to the Workday ecosystem.
  • Intranet & Content Management: Manage and monitor the ERP Project Intranet hub; serve as the lead editor for all Workday-related news announcements, FAQs, and troubleshooting repositories.
  • SME Collaboration: Coordinate with internal Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Developers to translate complex technical specifications into digestible content for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be AmbITious: This opportunity is not just about what you do today but also about where you can go tomorrow. When you bring your hunger, heart, and harmony to Insight, your potential will be met with continuous opportunities to upskill, earn promotions, and elevate your career.

What we’re looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Business, or Communications.

  • Technical Agility: Ability to understand data migrations, business process frameworks.

  • Project Management: Self-directed and able to juggle multiple documentation workstreams with competing deadlines over a 24-month project lifecycle.

  • Soft Skills: High level of interpersonal skills to influence change and facilitate knowledge transfer within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What you can expect
We’re legendary for taking care of you, your family and to help you engage with your local community. We want you to enjoy a full, meaningful life and own your career at Insight. Some of our benefits include:

  • Freedom to work from another location—even an international destination—for up to 30 consecutive calendar days per year.

But what really sets us apart are our core values of Hunger, Heart, and Harmony, which guide everything we do, from building relationships with teammates, partners, and clients to making a positive impact in our communities.
