Consultant - Business Analyst

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst skilled in working with software development teams and organizations to help our clients accurately define product requirements and develop working technology solutions to drive value. In addition to supporting the client stakeholders in eliciting and clarifying requirements, you will work alongside the Development Team to ensure that requirements are clearly communicated and understood. The ideal candidate can break through complexity and ambiguity while creating a shared understanding.

Target salary between $85k to $115k 

 

What Our Business Analysts Do for Our Clients:

  • Elicit, simplify, and manage business requirements and translate those into an actionable and workable backlog
  • Identify the needs and characteristics of the end customer to understand the desired outcome through a consumer lens
  • Establish strong communication to ensure the requirements are clearly understood by the client & delivery team
  • Ensure the Product Backlog is ordered to best achieve Product goals and value driven outcomes
  • Collaborate with product team to facilitate product vision definition sessions to determine stakeholder needs
  • Assist with developing roadmaps and business case documentation with teammates and partners
  • Facilitate discovery sessions across strategy, design, engineering, and technology
  • Support delivery team through facilitation of necessary activities as defined by delivery method such as: Sprint Planning, Refinement and Sprint Review
  • Handle changes to requirements through negotiation and by facilitating decision- making
  • Support manual testing and QA efforts as necessary

  • Experience writing requirements for a software development team in one or more of the following of technologies ranging from mobile, web, data, infrastructure
  • Understanding of the Scrum framework and the principles of agility 
  • Work with business and technical disciplines across the organization to plan and track effective delivery
  • Experience with a variety of facilitation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills, work ethic, independence, problem solving ability, and overall positive attitude
  • Ability to think big picture, while still being able to focus on details and ability to articulate both
  • Exposure to working directly with customers to elicit feedback and understand problems to solve or desires for Product(s).
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven strength in communication via storytelling as well as the translation between technical business representatives
