Agile Consultant – Business Analyst

 

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst skilled in working with agile software development teams and organizations to help them accurately define product requirements and develop working software. In addition to supporting the organization in eliciting and clarifying requirements, you may work alongside a Development Team to ensure that requirements are clearly communicated and understood. The ideal candidate can break through complexity and ambiguity while creating a shared understanding.

What Our Agile Business Analysts Do for Our Clients

  • Identify the needs and characteristics of the end customer to understand the desired outcome for the product through a consumer lens
  • Leverage clear communication skills to understand opportunities, translate those into an actionable and workable backlog, and help shepherd the efforts of the development team
  • Collaborate with the organization to ensure backlog Items are clearly expressed and understood by the team
  • Ensure the Product Backlog is ordered to best achieve Product goals and mission
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to bring alignment to requirements and facilitate decision-making
  • Partner with the Development Team to clarify product questions, estimation, remove blockers, set priorities, and escalate issues
  • Support team events including Sprint Planning and Sprint Review
  • Handle changes to requirements and communicate to all appropriate stakeholders
  • Support testing and QA efforts as necessary

 

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience writing requirements for a software development team
  • Effective at building relationships and communicating across all levels of an organization
  • Embodies a Growth Mindset
  • Committed to the success of the Team, the Product, and the Client
  • Understanding of the Scrum framework and the principles of agility
  • Ability to identify and understand his/her sphere of influence at a client, and understand micro-nudges
  • Experience with a variety of facilitation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills, work ethic, independence, problem solving ability, and overall positive attitude
  • Ability to think big picture, while still being able to focus on details and ability to articulate both
  • Exposure to working directly with customers to elicit feedback and understand problems to solve or desires for Product(s).
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven strength in communication via storytelling as well as the translation between technical business representatives
