ROLE

 

The EMEA Services Delivery function delivers professional and managed services to Insight’s clients across a broad range of technology and software offerings, delivers a scaled and consistent client experience, and employs methodologies through the following centres of excellence; 

 

  • The Customer Operations team provides high quality customer support across assigned regions from multiple delivery centres. 
  • The Engineering team provides automated and scripted innovative migration and implementation activities in order to achieve maximum efficiency, consistency, and performance. 
  • The Licence Consulting team provides expertise in optimisation and compliance services to clients on-premises or in the Cloud whilst maintaining cost efficiencies and savings. 
  • The Service Design & Delivery team, and each of its subfunctions, leads on designing client solutions in partnership with Insight’s clients before planning and executing end-to-end engagements. 
  • The Digital Innovation team explores and drives first-of-type innovations around technology including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), Connected Sensors, and Robotics. 
  • The Technology Solutions Group, through technology and business practice leadership, takes responsibility for the overall service strategy, and subsequent solution, and services development by a team of solution developers, product designers, and agile leaders. TSG also governs the repeatable processes, tools, and automation underpinning Insight’s service delivery. 

 

Complementing each of the centres of excellence is the Service Delivery Management team, located in every country, which manages the client experience and ensures a truly client-centric approach across EMEA, and also the Services Operations & Transformation team which drives operational excellence and business improvements across all areas within the Services Delivery function. 

 

The Consultant resides within the Service Design & Delivery area of the EMEA Services Delivery function and, specifically, within the Consulting team. 

 

The Consultant is a subject matter expert in one or more of Insight’s defined solution consulting areas and acts as the ‘technical expert’ throughout the sales process. 

 

The Consultant is responsible for the scope, design, deployment, service delivery, and adoption of the latest technologies into client operating environments across EMEA. They are responsible for providing expert consultancy, advice, and guidance to clients. They also own transformation projects, from initial client assessment through to successful completion, and partner with internal and external client teams to carefully scope and propose the most suitable, strategic solution for each client. 

 

In addition, the Consultant works closely with other teammates in a ‘consulting pod,’ each pod consists of teammates with a variety of skillsets, knowledge, and experience, and is aligned to one of Insight’s strategic go-to-market (GTM)/Practice areas. 

 

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

  • Own the delivery of IT related projects to clients, ensure defined service revenue and utilisation targets are met, and anticipated client outcomes are successfully delivered. 
  • Responsible for the customisation and configuration of client services offerings. 
  • Engage in the presales cycle and provide consultancy services including audits and assessments to support sales teammates with their proposals. 
  • Act as the ‘technical authority’ when scoping technical requirements for commercial assessments which are to be presented by the Sales account teams. 
  • Design, build, and configure solutions to address client needs and business drivers, and also ensure solutions meet and or exceed the client’s expectations. 
  • Work closely with Sales account teams to present intelligent end-to-end solutions and offerings based on the clients specified requirements. 
  • Participate in client workshops, meetings, and calls in order to provide technical expertise in relation to Insight’s proposals, demonstrate credibility, and inspire confidence within clients. 
  • Design and configure Insight’s solutions according to the client’s request, map requirements, and ensure the most suitable configuration. 
  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs) in line with the configuration and or customisation needs required for each client. 
  • Be held accountable for defining SOW’s and customer engagement documentation to Insight’s standards, maintaining clear Plan, Build, and Manage stages, also ensuring SOW’s follow the “designed for operation” methodology. 
  • Prepare and present client demonstrations, as well as providing training, knowledge transfer, and coaching to users. 
  • Collaborate closely with other Consultants to ensure the ultimate adoption and smooth rollout of solutions to clients including making necessary adjustments and providing technical insights to both teammates and clients, as and when required. 
  • Ensure the durability and traceability of all work completed including providing regular backups of data and availability of documentation on collaborative tools. 
  • Participate in knowledge sharing activities and also help to support and embed a culture of sharing and learning. 
  • Act as the ‘technical liaison’ between Insight’s customers and the internal engineering teams and be responsible for the overall technical suitability of the solution throughout the delivery phases to support Insight’s Plan, Build, and Manage strategy.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience  
  • High level of written and spoken English  
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) 
  • Holds relevant professional IT qualification, accreditation and or certification 
  • Experience performing billable consulting work or sales consulting within the target practice area, and or equivalent experience with consulting services management 
  • Demonstrates an interest in innovation, information technology, and using Cloud to accelerate business processes 
  • Previous experience of delivering projects successfully with clients who demand the highest standards 
  • Experienced working on multiple projects concurrently to challenging deadlines  
  • Experience of developing accurate and concise project documentation that will be used by colleagues and clients 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business requirements into SOW’s and implementation plans 
  • Exhibits a strong communication/presentation style with the maturity to be able to adjust their style to get the best from the situation  
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills including negotiating and contracting

 

 

LOCATION

 

The position is based in Belgium, main office location is Grimbergen. Possibility for hybrid working, remote with occasional visits to the office and client sites.
