Microsoft Consultant (Connected Workforce Solutions)

The EMEA Services Delivery function is responsible for delivering professional and managed services to our clients across a full range of technology and software offerings, delivering a scaled, consistent client experience and methodology through four centres of excellence (COE). The Service Design & Delivery team take the lead on designing client solutions in partnership with our clients before planning and executing the end-to-end engagement. The Engineering team provide innovative migration and implementation activities both automated and scripted, to achieve maximum efficiency, consistency, and performance. The Customer Operations team provide high-quality customer support across the region from multiple delivery centres. The Licence Consulting team provide expertise in optimisation and compliance services to clients on-premise or in the cloud, maintaining cost efficiency and savings. Complementing our COE’s are the Service Delivery Management team. Located in every country, they manage the client experience to ensure a truly client-centric approach across EMEA. 


The Consultant – Connected Workforce Solutions resides within the Service Design & Delivery area of the EMEA Services function and, specifically, within the Consultancy team. The Consultant – Connected Workforce Solutions is responsible for designing, installing, and configuring state-of -the-art IT solutions using cloud technologies, with a focus on the modern workplace.  


The consultant works in close partnership with clients, advising them on how best to use innovative information technology solutions to accelerate core business opportunities, and optimise IT utilising innovative M365 and cloud offerings such as 0365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Power Applications, in order to achieve business objectives, overcome issues, and improve the structure and efficiency of existing IT systems. 


They deliver highly replicable projects following Insight’s Services Methodology to deliver IT centric services to clients, ensuring they experience Insight ́s consulting services as a true value-added service. In addition, the consultant is regarded as an industry expert; demonstrated through speaking at conferences and vendor events, the publishing of white papers and thought leadership material. 




  • Own the delivery of IT related projects to clients, accountable for ensuring defined service revenue and utilisation targets are met, and the delivery of anticipated client outcome.  

  • Responsible for the customisation and configuration of client services offerings.  

  • Design, build and configure solutions to address client needs and business drivers, ensuring they meet or exceed expectations. 

  • Work closely with the Solution Sales Specialists to present intelligent end-to-end solutions offerings based on the clients specified requirements. 

  • To participate in workshops, client meetings, and calls to provide technical expertise in relation to Insight’s proposals, demonstrating credibility and inspiring confidence with clients.  

  • To design and configure Insight’s solutions according to client requests, mapping requirements and ensuring the most suitable configuration.  

  • To create statements of work in line with configuration/customisation needs required for each client. 

  • To prepare and present client demonstrations and provide training on this matter.  

  • Collaborate closely with the Adoption & Change Consultant, ensuring ultimate adoption and smooth rollout of solutions to clients, making necessary adjustments, and providing technical insight to teammates and clients as required.  

  • Participate in knowledge sharing activities as required, supporting a culture of sharing and learning. 


In addition, this role may be responsible for managing a team of no more than 5 consultants. The additional duties would include: 


  • Manage and motivate the team, to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning; creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark, enabling career progression. 

  • Responsible for the day - to- day operation of the Consulting Services business, managing profit ab le growth and ensuring a high utilisation of the team. 

  • Ensure the team hold the right competencies and knowledge to achieve and maintain vend or certifications, whilst balancing utilisation requirements.

  • Teammate Satisfaction - Achieve teammate satisfaction at or beyond target rate through NPS survey 





  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience 

  • High level of written and spoken English 

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) 

  • Has experience delivering successful projects with clients who demand the highest standards 

  • Has experienced with working on multiple projects at the same time working to challenging deadlines 

  • Extensive experience performing billable consulting work or consultative sales within the target Practice area or equivalent experience with consulting services management 

  • Has experience of developing accurate and concise project documentation that will be used by colleagues and clients 

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business requirements to SOW and implementation plans 

  • Exhibits a strong communication/ presentation style with the maturity to be able to adjust their style to get the best from the situation 

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills including negotiating and contracting 

  • Demonstrates a flexible approach to working 

  • A strong interest and skills in cloud centric IT solutions with a keen desire to advance customer operations to drive innovation and efficiency   

  • MCSA Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate MCITP Microsoft Certified IT Professional   




The position is based in Netherlands, main office are located in Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Enschede. This role will be hybrid, 80-90% remote with occasional visits to the office and client sites a few times per month.
