Data Operations Specialist


We are currently seeking a Data Operations Specialist, so join Insight near our offices in Sheffield or Manchester on a hybrid schedule.


The EMEA Services Delivery function delivers professional and managed services to Insight’s clients across a broad range of technology and software offerings, delivers a scaled and consistent client experience, and employs methodologies through the following centres of excellence.


Activity description

  • Analyse multiple sources of information including revenue generation, utilisation figures, client satisfaction scores and project profitability and build this data into user friendly Power BI reports
  • Manage standard service report definitions and develop bespoke reports as required both internally and externally
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team, on definition, access and maintenance of key data sources for Services metrics reporting
  • Complete trend analysis and predictive work to drive Services business decision-making, recruitment, capacity and skills planning, and proactive client and offering intelligence
  • Manage and maintain Services-specific data sources, such as from project management and ITSM toolsets
  • Manage and maintain applicable and appropriate look-up data for use within reporting, such as teammate lists and alignments


Skills & Experience

  • Expertly skilled in Microsoft Excel used for reporting and analysing trends
  • Demonstrable analytical and information management expertise
  • Experience of working with data sources from ERP systems, SQL, and ITSM solutions would be desirable
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Power BI data visualizations
