Desktop Services Technician Sr

Senior Desktop Technician
Summary:
As a Senior Desktop Support Technician, you will provide quality day-to-day hands on and remote end user support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and technical expertise. You will troubleshoot complex end user hardware, software, mobile device, and peripheral problems. You will serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for all end user reported issues.

 

Job Location: 
You will be working from the office located in Denver, CO 80202, however occasional travel might be required to support other office locations.

Essential Duties and Functions:
•    Work as part of the IT Infrastructure End User support and engineering team to deploy and maintain Windows desktop operating systems technology solutions in support of identified business needs
•    Provide expert level technical support of end user hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals
•    Be responsible for timely ticket resolution and closure
•    Respond to requests and problems including installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software to ensure optimal workstation performance
•    Execute the joiners and leavers process including imaging, deployment, equipment returns and replacements
•    Maintain an accurate inventory of all unassigned, deployed, retired, and disposed hardware and peripherals
•    Participate in root cause analysis on recurring tickets and identify opportunities for automated remediation
•    Provide basic business level application support
•    Participates in and may lead special projects
•    Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of branch office computer rooms, networking closets, and local site servers
•    Perform other duties as assigned
•    Willing to work off hours

 

Required Qualifications:
•    Experience in a corporate desktop support role
•    A sense of urgency along with being task oriented
•    CompTIA A+ Certification
•    Experience working independently with little supervision
•    Experience interacting with senior level leadership
•    Experience with a ticketing system preferably ServiceNow
•    Proactively seek learning opportunities and is a self-starter
•    Minimum 5 years’ Desktop Support experience in a medium to large size organization
•    Expertise with Windows 10 operating systems
•    Knowledge of enterprise systems configuration management systems (i.e., SCCM)
•    Demonstrated hands on experience with remote access (VPN, VDI), networking, Active Directory, Group policies, email, enterprise telephony, and file sharing technologies
•    Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
•    Troubleshoot and diagnose complex hardware problems
•    Experience working in a highly regulated and secure environment
•    Excellent oral/written problem solving, and customer service skills
•    Manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, be responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking
•    Knowledge of file server and sharing systems, and SFTP applications 
•    Experience with remote desktop support tools
•    Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle

Physical Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

•    Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, and telephone on a constant basis 7-8 hours per day.
•    Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication on a constant basis 7-8 hours per day.
•    Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
•    Ability to sit at a desk on a constant basis 7-8 hours per day.
 

Salary Range: $30-$35/hr
