Desktop Support Technician

Insight is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team!


Roles and Responsibilities: Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, installs and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 10, Windows 7, Microsoft Office, Apple, iPhones, iPads, and any other client authorized desktop applications.  Dealing with hardware and application support queries and issues reported to the support desk and escalated to the Desktop Support team. Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops and any other client authorized peripheral equipment. Performs work in compliance within specified warranty requirements and returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs. Provide user data and application recovery and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with workstation hardware/software. Responsible for completeness and accuracy of assignments including timely documentation of work in designated systems. Escalate issues and involve experts wherever required in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Basic Requirements: Legally Authorized to work in the United States. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform shift work and/or a variable work schedule. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites and Windows Operating Systems.

Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree desirable in Business
or equivalent related experience or training preferred.  2+ years of work experience in an IT technology environment with a variety of the fields’ concepts, practices, and procedures.


Certifications in: MCP in Windows 10, A+ or Dell Hardware Certification. 2 years of experience with Windows Active Directory and knowledge of ServiceNow. Excellent written and oral communications. Ability to follow written procedures and security guidelines. Proven initiative. Ability to achieve results. Ability to multi-task. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
