The E-Commerce Consultant is responsible for enhancing client experience by transitioning clients to Insight’s online portal ‘my Insight’. They closely collaborate with teammates in Sales, Operations, and the wider Digital team to identify and prioritise opportunities that support the onboarding process and maintain the client’s digital relationship with Insight. This is achieved by supporting account managers in the promotion of Insight’s web services to their client base, supporting and leading calls with clients (internally and externally) and working through the account managers books to set realistic objectives for increasing the online order percentage. 

 

In addition, they drive and secure a high level of client satisfaction and ensure the utilisation of Insight’s digital solutions and related services continue in an upward trajectory.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for increasing the overall web order percentage in the local office and other assigned regions across EMEA.
  • Work closely with Sales account managers, going through the representatives account base to onboard new clients to ‘my Insight’. 
  • Identify strategies to engage the account manager and Insight’s client base in the use of Insight’s web services.
  • Provide local expertise and training to account managers on ‘my Insight’. 
  • Support and/or lead new starter training, providing initial support in engaging new teammates with Insight’s web services, as well as providing ongoing support and training for account managers.
  • Identify a target list of clients to be persuaded into engaging with Insight’s web services. Obtain the information required to successfully create client’s custom catalogues, logins, approval paths and any other requirements, then create these customised requirements for clients in the Insight websites.
  • Run live meeting demonstrations and conference calls with clients, occasionally visiting clients as and when required.
  • Provide expertise on the range of Insight’s Global web solutions; primarily ‘my Insight’ but also to include some integrated eProcurement knowledge.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Insight’s Global processes, how they impact ECommerce and therefore our online and integrated clients and work relevant parties to improve and implement processes where necessary.
  • Troubleshoot basic and complex issues presented to clients and Sales teammates and provide resolutions.
  • To adopt a strategic approach in analysing accounts that are not transacting online, and work to devise and execute a strategy to migrate clients to ‘my Insight’.
  • Work closely with product owners, and additional resources which may be required, to ensure that new client requirements are assessed, prioritised, and actioned efficiently.
  • Act as the “eyes and ears” for the E-Commerce team, allowing the team to understand new client requirements, bugs and potential improvements for Insight’s web services including research into new developments in E-Procurement and propose new improvements where appropriate.
  • Support E-Commerce teammates to grow their knowledge and confidence in supporting clients and teammates alike.
  • Lead global E-Commerce projects and act as the subject matter expert to ensure maximum client satisfaction and smooth transition to ‘my Insight’.

Key skills and experience required:

 

 

  • Demonstrates experience of working in a Sales, customer service or client support based environment -Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience
  • Can demonstrate experience of working within an E-Commerce role -Project Management qualification
  • (Prince2, PMP, APM or equivalent)
  • Excellent project management, communication and problem-solving skills  -Exceptional organisation skills, experience of successfully delivering multiple complex projects
  • High level of written and spoken English -Fluent in an additional European language
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) -Demonstrates experience of working with SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Advanced etc
  • Strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor
  • -Working knowledge of the Insight sales processes (software and hardware), of
  • ‘myInsight’ and E-Procurement tools
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines -Ability to provide effective leadership, build positive team spirit and inspire, motivate and support teammates
  • Self-motivated, confident and pro-active with ability to work independently, accurately and to tight deadlines, and to prioritise between conflicting demands to ensure delivery targets are met -Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to work with clients, partners and teammates at all levels, establishing credibility and building trusted status -Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate, influence and generate confidence, trust and respect
