EAM (Public Sector)

Insight are looking for an individual that describes themselves as a hunter and a go-getter, based in the central belt to join the public sector sales team. You will be responsible for driving sales of Insight’s entire portfolio to FE/HE clients throughout Scotland and the whole of public sector in Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for growing new lines of business within existing clients, as well as pursuing net new logos.

Job responsibilities:



  • Develop strategic business relationships across a portfolio of client accounts and engage with clients through face-to-face activities and demonstrations to position Insight as the partner of choice.
  • Develop and maintain an annual business plan for the assigned portfolio in order to drive new business opportunities and recurring revenue streams based on a deep understanding of Insight’s key clients’ needs and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross sell Insight’s services and solutions to provide added value to the client.
  • Conduct frequent strategic reviews of progress against client account plans and proactively put in place corrective activity for plans that are off track.
  • Accountable for the achievement of revenue and profit-based targets, builds and maintains accurate weekly reporting of the pipeline, forecast, and activities.
  • Promote new ideas and solutions to Insight’s clients and proactively engage with cross functional internal stakeholders to help support and manage client needs.
  • Agree upon, create, and implement against a strategic account plan f or each client in the portfolio based upon client pain points and subsequent business goals.





Skills desired:



  • We are looking for someone who is keen to jump in, learn quickly and has the confidence and positivity to face challenges head on and be an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievements and performance against targets – to be able to talk through previous successes, the implementation of sales process and cycles succinctly.
  • Ability to connect, engage and build rapport with C-level customers
  • Considerable consultative and sales experience in a client-facing role
  • You will be ambitious for your team, the company, and our customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping the business achieve its high ambitions.
  • Extensive client-facing sales experience, able to win client confidence and deliver client demonstrations with professional authority and ease.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of modern business processes and trends and the impact of leading-edge IT solutions.
  • Commercial or public sector backgrounds considered.
