Role:

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced #100695 Messaging Specialist (Contract) in Edmonton, AB starting on or around June 28, 2021 for 12 months. The ideal candidate will have 5+ yrs experience with Microsoft Server architecture (installation/admin) and implementing/ troubleshooting Exchange 2016 or Exchange Online, in an enterprise environment. You will also have 3+ yrs experience supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft TEAMs, M365 security related services, and providing access management activities to M365 tenants. All candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

General Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on implementation, upgrading, troubleshooting of messaging software and hardware infrastructure.
  • Manage and prioritize workload. Check and balance the workload against the team requirements, resulting in a service delivery model characterized by cross-training, workload sharing and collaborative team effort.
  • Provide problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Develop messaging related procedures.
  • Provide cross training and knowledge transfer to team members.

Mandatory:

  • 5 yrs experience supporting Exchange 2016 or Exchange Online in an enterprise environment.
  • 5 yrs experience with Microsoft architecture, installation and administration in a multi-server environment.
  • 3 yrs experience supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft TEAMs in an enterprise environment
  • 3 yrs experience supporting M365 security related services: anti-spam, anti-phishing, access management, etc.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

 

Desirable:

  • 1 yr experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Teams
  • 3 yrs experience with AntiSpam Administration.
  • 3 yrs experience in enterprise size Domain environment.
  • 2 yrs experience performing access management activities to Microsoft 365 tenants.
  • 1 yr experience performing Information Management related activities like litigation hold, e-discovery, retention schedules for M365 services
  • 2 yrs experience migrating from an on premise Skype for Business environment to Microsoft Teams.       
  • 2 yrs experience implementing or supporting cloud platforms or products.
  • 1 yr experience supporting bulk mail delivery solutions  

 

Education (Must Have one of the following combinations):

  • Degree in IT or a related discipline + 6 yrs experience supporting Messaging Technologies; OR 2 yr diploma + 8 yrs experience; OR, 1 yr certificate + 9 yrs experience; OR, 10 yrs experience supporting Messaging technology.
