Role:

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced #700726 IT Network Administrator (Contract) for a 6 months contract (remote) starting in Aug 2022 with a potential of extension at the client’s discretion. The work can be done remotely but resource must reside in Canada for duration of project. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years as a Network Admin providing L2/L3 support/maintenance with Network Infrastructures, Network Connectivity, and Firewalls (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet) in an Enterprise IT environment. Previous experience migrating to FortiGate VPN, and Fortinet firewall would be an asset. Experience with scripting (Terraform/Ansible) would be a great asset. Excellent communication skills and positive attitude. All Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Technical Skills (Nice to Have):

  • 7+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or equivalent in an enterprise IT environment
  • Experience with L2/L3 systems maintenance, troubleshooting and support.
  • Experience in Network administration, connectivity, Firewalls, switching and routing, TCP/IP protocols, Internet services (DNS, FTP, etc.)
  • Experience with Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Experience migrating to FortiGate VPN, and Fortinet firewall would be a great asset.
  • Experience with scripting (Terraform/Ansible) would be a great asset.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current IT security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Have excellent analytical skills and be a good communicator.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

 

Education (nice to have):

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science would be an asset
  • Active Technical Certifications would be an asset (Cisco CCNA or CCNP, Checkpoint, F5)
