Location: Calgary or Edmonton based supporting Insight Western Canadian based Client Executives (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg) and their Customers.

About the role  

 

The Market Development Executive (MDE) is responsible for selling Insight’s Infrastructure modernization solutions, technology and services to clients across various industries.  The MDE will partner closely with Insight’s go-to-market Account Executives and our Solutions Architects in alignment with client IT strategies, requirements and top business initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to solve client’s business initiatives related to modernizing infrastructure, securing the enterprise, optimizing costs and driving efficiency related to IT infrastructure.
  • This role requires technical knowledge and sales skills to uncover and manage opportunities from discovery to qualification to prospect negotiate and close sales stages.
  • You will be expected to grow Insights existing base of Modern Infrastructure solutions Year on Year achieving Revenue and GP targets in the Infrastructure Solutions hardware and software and Services
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations. Director through CxO is a requirement. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key OEM partners to drive account planning and territory growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Insight Client Executives, Modern Infrastructure Pre-Sales Solutions Architects and Services/Solution practice leaders and teams.
  • Define and execute technical account growth strategy in partnership with Insight Client Executives, Modern Infrastructure Solutions Architects, Solution practices and Insight Services delivery
  • Grow and expand existing Infrastructure customer base as well as Identify new opportunities, acquisition customers for Modern Infrastructure solutions and services
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations along with pre-sales Solutions Architects and Services Delivery
  • Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation through deal closure, in partnership with Insight Client Executives
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction
  • Work with, contribute to and manage opportunity pipeline related to MDE customer sales cycles, experience working with and using SFDC is required
  • Develop executive client trusted relationships relative to technical area of expertise
  • Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and pipeline development

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in field sales, in infrastructure sales on premise data center, edge and cloud.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of infrastructure solutions and services inclusive, of software defined data centers, modern compute, storage, network, data, AI security and data protection.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as needed
