Description:
Our enterprise client is seeking a highly skilled Server Specialist for a 3+ month contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting servers and related infrastructure in both cloud and on-premise environments. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Responsibilities:

Support and maintain servers and related infrastructure in cloud and on-premise environments.
Implement and manage cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, and mitigation strategies.
Design and implement disaster recovery solutions with cloud infrastructure.
Migrate on-prem infrastructure to a cloud hybrid DR environment.
Automate routine tasks using various scripting languages.
Administer Microsoft Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025).
Administer various Red Hat and Ubuntu-based Linux distributions.
Manage storage and network technologies.
Administer Office 365 applications like Teams and Exchange Online.
Monitor infrastructure using various applications.
Utilize automation tools like Azure Automation or Ansible.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in information systems. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency.
5-7+ years of experience supporting servers and related infrastructure.
MCSA/MCSE certification is an asset.
Red Hat and/or other Linux certifications are an asset.
Experience with MS Azure infrastructure services.
Experience with VMware and Hyper-V for both server and desktop virtualization.
Knowledge of data centers and associated server support.
