Solutions Architect – Modern Endpoint

Overview:

The Modern Endpoint Solution Architect is a role for an individual focused working in an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) / Citrix environment.  A good skillset is required across Remote Desktop and Application delivery platforms, primarily Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services but also a knowledge of AVD is a strong asset.

We're seeking a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Someone who has the ability to solve problems involving remote and elusive symptoms often spanning multiple environments in a business area. The successful candidate will posess a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts, both technical and business related, and utilize as needed. Also, this candidate requires the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at a given time, having excellent analytical and organizational skills with strict attention to detail. Lastly, this role requires creativity in proactively developing approaches to problems and recommending actions to management or implementing the recommendations.

What you’ll do at Insight:

• Act as an escalation point for Incidents, Service Requests, Problems, and changes relating to the Remote Application platform
• Tier 2/3 technical support / troubleshooting (24/7 P1 & P2 support)
• Maintain availability of the Citrix environment ensuring that the highest level of stability and reliability are maintained
• Publishing and managing applications and desktops
• Manage monitoring and reporting of Citrix environment
• Installing and configuring Microsoft AVD technologies including host pools, images and scaling
• Manage Azure Active Directory for Azure related systems
• Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions for Azure based production configuration
• Manage and deploy updates
• Help in organization and management of the business applications that is installed on Azure
• Provide technical assistance for all the servers desktops and services that apply to the deployed configuration

What you’ll need to join Insight:

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in working with ITIL based Service processes and functions
• Excellent Client Infrastructure troubleshooting skills and knowledge of problem resolution methodologies
• Experience in working with enterprise-scale applications, infrastructure, and software
• Proven ability to manage a set of complex operational services
• Experience working in an Agile environment to deliver service improvement
• Microsoft RDS / RemoteApp knowledge or experience (for migration purposes)
• Active Directory and Group Policy management
• Working in an ITIL environment
• Experience and knowledge of implementing technical solutions in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
• Proven ability to write technical documentation, including high/low designs and operational manuals
• Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp Support experience
• Citrix Cloud Experience or knowledge
• NetScaler and RDS Web experience

Nice to have:

• Experienced in IT service management, including change, incident, and problem management an asset
• Azure Experience is an asset (virtual hosts, Resource groups, NSG management, Image Gallery, FS Logix etc.)
• Experience in Installing and configuring Microsoft AVD technologies including host pools AVD images and scaling
• Have good knowledge of Azure publishing applications web server load balancing Resource Manager License Management
• AZ-140 Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty Certificate
• Citrix Certified Associate Virtualization (CCA-V) Certification
