Systems Technician

Position Overview

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to work in a dynamic environment providing direct support to our internal teammates. You’ll have the opportunity to utilize your technical skills and continue to learn new ones as a member of our team.

The Desktop Support Technician performs installation, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on systems and communications equipment, including, but not limited to: hardware and peripherals; software configuration; voice, video and data conferencing devices. Incumbent will provide service to internal Insight teammates providing the highest level of client satisfaction.

As member of the EUC team, you should be able to perform the following base activities:

  • Support teammates in person and remotely
  • Provide White Glove support to Exec team
  • Install, Configure and Troubleshoot end user PC Software and Hardware issues (Windows and Mac OS X)
  • Troubleshoot Android and iOS devices
  • Track fixed assets and inventory
  • Educate and set up new teammate’s hardware/software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Above average communication and documentation skills Strong experience with PC hardware
  • Strong experience with Android and iOS mobile device support
  • Strong experience with Windows 10
  • Knowledge and experience with Mac OS
  • Abilities to research and provide solutions to complex technical issues
  • Strong experience supporting a variety software, (Adobe, SAP, Microsoft Office 365, to name a few)
  • Experience Supporting Symantec Endpoint Protection and Encryption software
  • Experience utilizing standard ticket handling applications
  • Strong Customer Services Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of and ability to work in a large corporate environment and protocol required
  • Understanding of the computer imaging process
  • Ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills. Able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion. We run various internal projects as collateral duties that do require this skill set.



Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Desktop and End-user support in IT field or a related field with a strong background in operating systems, desktop hardware and peripheral support


Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop and kneel.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus due to computer work.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting is required.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.









The Services Technician performs installation, configuration, repair, testing on computer system and networking equipment, including, but not limited to: desktops, notebooks, tablets, thin clients, servers, blades, switches, routers, firewalls, monitors, and printers.

Essential Functions of the Job:





Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university, or Diploma from a 2 year technical college, or 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Candidate should have some or all of the following industry certifications A+, MCP, ACSP, CCNA; and a willingness to continue to stay current on industry certifications throughout their career.



English, French.
