Associate Engineer-- Proof of Concept

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB

The Associate Engineer- Proof of Concept is a client facing role that requires excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of the labs and warehouse processes. Processing of the Proof-of-Concepts, including all the setup required around imaging, asset tagging, etching, kitting, documentation of lab instructions and troubleshooting with a focus on the highest level of client satisfaction.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Hardware:

· Partner with the sales and lab Pre-Sales teams to onboard new clients which may include kickoff calls, weekly cadence calls and emails.

· Setup of client provided images for deployment from within the labs. Requires general imaging knowledge around Ghost, DISM, MDT and Modern Provisioning methodologies (Microsoft Intune/Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Samsung KNOX).

· Design and setup of asset tags per client requirements.

· Design and setup of artwork per the client requirements for the etching of client devices.

· Development of ISO technical work instructions that the labs will utilizing during the processing of client orders.

· Performing POC Time Studies to ensure the cost is capture and the appropriate lab pack fees are utilized to cover lab work effort.

· Management of post POC lab pilot orders to ensure a clean hand off from the POC team to the lab team has been formed and volume efficiencies time stamped.

· Testing of the end-to-end lab processes actively driving process efficiencies.

· Training lab personnel on the new build and imaging procedures.

· Technical assistance with the labs, sales, and clients on troubleshooting the different issues that come up during the Proof of Concepts.

· Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating with clients, the labs and management.

· Flexibility to work outside normal work hours.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university or 3-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A+ certified or equivalent. Experience in mentoring and training other teammates needed. LANs, WANs, Personal Computers, desktop, and server software applications experience required. Ability to automate tasks using basic scripting techniques using applications such as PowerShell or VBScript. Remotely manage devices to determine user experiences and debug issue, utilizing knowledge base and call script skills required. Must be able to work with both ends of basic level testing as well as high level testing and documentation.
