About the role
Act as the technical escalation point and infrastructure SME responsible for architecture design, OS upgrades, migrations, automation, and strategic capacity planning.

As an Engineer III you will:

Actively participate in the assessment, designing, planning, and implementation of VCF infrastructure on hybrid environment.
Architect and design of VMware Cloud Foundation environments for private and hybrid cloud deployments. Hyper-V
Define and implement cloud automation strategies using VMware Aria Suite (Aria Automation, Aria Operations, Aria Lifecycle).
Develop high-level and detailed infrastructure designs, including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
Architect VMware NSX-T solutions for network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust security models
Design, deploy, support and troubleshoot large-scale VMWARE environment.
Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter servers.
Ensure the security of the VMware environment by applying patches, updates, and configuring security settings.
On-Prem Datacenter & Hybrid Cloud
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

What we’re looking for:

8+ years implementing and troubleshooting VMWARE technologies.
Growth in technical skills through VMWARE certification (VCF Administrator/ VMware vSphere certified)
Expert VMWARE and VCF technologies in upgrades, patching.
Strong understanding of virtualization, networking, and cloud computing principles.
Familiarity with hybrid cloud platforms (e.g., Vmware, AVS, Azure Local).
Hand on experience on VMWARE ARIA.
Experience in managing and configuring NSX.
Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
Ability to think on your feet and solve issues.
Available for evening and overnight work as needed.
Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers.
Enterprise vSphere & vSAN architecture support
Advanced troubleshooting (host, storage, network, HA failures)
DR design & implementation (SRM, replication strategy)
ESXi lifecycle upgrades, migrations (P2V/V2V), and capacity planning
Design & implement enterprise VMware clusters, HA/DR architectures
Lead vCenter & ESXi version upgrades and lifecycle management
Plan and execute guest OS upgrades (Windows/Linux) ensuring compatibility
Lead large-scale migrations (P2V, V2V, DC migrations, cross-vCenter)
Define rollback strategies & downtime planning for migrations
Architect vSAN & storage performance optimization strategies

Azure / Hybrid Expertise (2-4 years)
• Azure IaaS (VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers)
• Azure Stack HCI / Azure Arc knowledge
• Hybrid identity (Entra ID Connect, SSO)
• Azure Backup & Site Recovery
• Governance & cost optimization strategies

Certifications (Preferred)
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional
