About the team:

The IMCS DBA team operates within Managed Cloud Services and overseas managed database services on a global scale. As a shared model DBA team, we are providing support to 30+ MSP customers.

Responsibilities -

All functions associated with maintenance of Oracle Server databases including security, back-up, reporting, and recovery procedures.
Core Oracle DBA activities for Oracle 10G/11g/12c/19c & 23c including error Diagnosis and Handling of the same.
Create, Build, and up-gradation of Instances and databases.
Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC.
Manage and troubleshoot the L3 tasks independently.
Performance tuning, Scripting knowledge.
Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship.
Database security patch application.
Troubleshooting DB – Crash
Rebuild Database due to Incident.
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases including rollout and upgrades.
Cross-training to support SQL in terms of maintenance of physical database structures and associated hardware, network, and system configurations.
Provides hands-on technical expertise, provides senior-level technical guidance to team members. Knowledge of SQL DB is preferable.
Provide day-to-day database management and support including overseeing and guiding team members.
Monitor the system’s health and performance.
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security of databases.
Conducting regular testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time.
Provide suggestions for solutions.
Automatic Tuning, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) & Point-in-Time Restore
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a database system.
Implement, maintain, and test disaster recovery strategies.
Implement, maintain, and test database backup and recovery strategies.
Manage the database capacity to ensure that it can meet the needs of the organization.
Lead the set-up, testing, and deployment of new databases, migrations, and upgrades.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Mentor junior DBAs on the team.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Must have experience with Data guard, RMAN, Goldengate, Exadata

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
Strong command of Oracle and Oracle server tools.
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) certification.
Should have proficiency in Oracle Server (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c +..) Configuration and Administration.
Must have experience with Data guard, RMAN, Goldengate, Exadata
Strong analytical skills for problem-solving database-related issues.
Knowledge of SQL (Secondary).
