About the role 

As a Cloud Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments with a strong focus on automation and scalability. This role requires expertise in Azure Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to deliver secure, compliant, and efficient cloud solutions. You will leverage Terraform for automation and provisioning and apply DevOps practices to streamline deployments through CI/CD pipelines. Along the way, you will get to:

• Design and implement scalable AVD architecture aligned with enterprise infrastructure standards.
• Deploy and manage AVD environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, primarily Terraform.
• Configure and manage AVD golden images and optimize scaling strategies.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and operational efficiency.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of networking, storage, and security concepts underpinning Azure and AVD environments.
• Implement improvement actions for AVD system configuration and ensure compliance with security best practices.
• Manage AVD-related group policies and user profiles (FSLogix).
• Administer Remote Applications and MSIX packaging in AVD environments.
• Perform regular patching, validation, and reporting for AVD environments.
• Stay up to date with Azure infrastructure advancements and AVD service updates.

What we’re looking for

• Overall 6+ years of experience in Azure Infrastructure, with strong architectural and deployment expertise.
• 4+ years of experience in Azure Cloud and 2+ years in Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automation and provisioning.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and operational automation.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, storage, and security principles.
• Ability to design and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions.
• Experience in drafting end-user documentation and SOPs following industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and industry best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-140, AZ-400
