About the role
The Senior Resource Manager resides within the Digital Engagement Team and is responsible for centrally and proactively managing Insight’s services resources, allocating the appropriate resources to multiple projects across EMEA, and for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of professional services. The Senior Resource Manager understands, captures, and assesses the capabilities and availability of the delivery teams, and also effectively responds to and allocates resources in order to meet client requirements, maximising the engagement and usage of the service delivery teams. As a Senior Resource Manager, you will get to:
- Enable the delivery of best-in-class consultancy offerings and projects through the effective and precise management of Insight’s EMEA services shared resource requests.
- Support, manage, and build processes and workflows for the resource management of the EMEA services team.
- Align and assign required resources efficiently to projects utilising the centralised resource calendar.
- Establish and develop communication channels and relationships with Insight EMEA’s services project management team, and the team managers of consultants and engineers.
- Act as single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans; proactively identifying and solving communication and relationship needs of stakeholder groups.
- Build skills profiles for the teams and seek to understand and capture individual capabilities and availability in order to meet current and future resource demands.
- Identify internal resource limitations and support pro-actively the engagement of third-party resources to deliver against resource requests from team managers, define skills requirements and support negotiation of rates.
- Monitor resource utilisation, ensure the effective deployment of all resource across EMEA, and also provide the best possible ROI on deployed resources.
- Proactively forecast, analyse, and report data to predict future capacity and demand, and also provide dashboard visibility of resource allocation across EMEA services.
- Provide accurate predictive analysis for resource prioritisation and optimisation, identifying potential future resource gaps and provide options for possible solutions.
- Forecast future workforce demand for skills based on business plans and external factors

What we’re looking for
- Demonstrates extensive working experience in the areas of resource management and project management
- Previous experience of liaising with external suppliers and third parties to secure resources at a professional level
- High level of written and spoken English A confident, outward-looking, proactive communicator
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor
- Ability to marshal and manage resources (people, funding, materials, and support) to achieve a project or task
- Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Demonstrate previous experience of having worked within a professional services provider environment
- Ability to interpret and analyse business and technical reports in addition to writing and presenting information to senior stakeholders
- Capacity to influence stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
- Demonstrable ability to deal with ambiguity effectively, high level of resilience to deal with setbacks and challenges
- A strong communicator, able to challenge the status quo, and interact with internal/external
- stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Able to manage own time efficiently and to handle multiple activities in parallel to accomplish the goals
- Demonstrable experience of working to set deadlines, able to effectively prioritise own workload
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture
- Experience of forecasting, analysing, and reporting data accurately
- Deadline oriented, collaborative-minded, and skilled at striking the perfect balance between speed and quality
- Excellent organisation skills with high attention to detail and able to quickly and efficiently build cross-functional relationship
