About the role
As an Executive SLS Consultant, you will be responsible for defining and leading complex consultancy engagements and advice for Insight’s strategic clients. We will count on you to operate across the LCS/SLS portfolio or are recognised as a deep level subject matter expert in a defined area and are instrumental in developing teammates and the SLS practice. Along the way, you will get to:
- Be responsible for end-to-end delivery of complex client engagements and a portfolio of SLS customers in large enterprise and global segments
- Be accountable for establishing the scope of client requirements, aligning Insight’s capabilities against those needs and designing solutions with a practical delivery structure
- Ensure an efficient balance of resources is deployed to achieve client expectations in a profitable manner, which also allows teammates to develop and build experience
- Act as a strategic technology leader and is widely recognised by colleagues and clients as a subject matter expert
- Maintain robust and wide-ranging relationships with the solution sales community and key account teams to support pre-sales activity, including positioning and scoping of solutions that include SLS capabilities
- Oversee the completion of operational implementation of tooling (e.g. SAM), including but not limited to data preparation and configuration in the tooling, and core enablement for clients (where in scope)
- Act as a hunter for net new opportunities within clients and prospects engaged with for delivery or in the general working environment
- Drive the evolution the SLS solutions portfolio, from market offerings to delivery methods, including the development of differentiated intellectual property
- Be responsible for the growth and maintenance of the LCS knowledge base and process libraries including the review and approval of new contributions from SLS and LCS teammates
- Act as a technical pre-sales subject matter expert to sales teammates to define solutions to client requirements that are aligned to the LCS strategy and drive the growth of Insight’s services footprint
- Attend and present at external events or through thought leadership pieces, to represent Insight in the marketplace
- Engage with marketing to promote campaigns, both internally and externally
- Collaborate with other services practices to grow and develop teammates knowledge of LCS for clients to benefit from a more holistic services offering
- Be responsible for managing part of the pipeline for the LCS practice
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrable knowledge of trends and the impact of leading IT solutions and ability to translate that into value adding offerings for Insight’s clients.
- Experience of working with a variety of IT tools (e.g. Microsoft SCCM, ServiceNow or SQL scripting)
- High level of written and spoken English, fluent in an additional European language desirable
- Ability to interact effectively at senior executive levels and demonstrate industry awareness and business acumen
- Holds relevant professional Project Management qualification
- Ability to quality assure detailed analysis activity and translate it into meaningful recommendations and advice that is suitable for the client situation
- Ability to deliver across multiple SAM related toolsets
- Ability to deliver proof of concepts and onboard teammates and clients for at least one SAM tool (e.g. Flexera, Snow, Aspera, ELD)
- Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity and inclusion
- Knowledge of markets within the IT and Technology sectors.
- Business acumen with the ability to interpret client needs a consult in a success-oriented way
- Exceptional organisation skills, experience of successfully delivering multiple complex projects
- Proven ability to own and manage escalations
- Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
