About the Team:

Software Lifecycle Services (SLS) is an integral part of LCS. SLS provides the technical delivery and analysis to support LCS advisory projects and run Software Asset Management (SAM) related managed services. SAM is a set of proven IT practices that unite people, processes, and technology to control and optimize the use of software across an organization. SAM helps control costs as well as manage business and legal risks, optimise software licensing investments, and align IT with business needs.

As a Sr. SLS Consultant, you will get to:

Resides within the License Consulting area of the EMEA Services function and, specifically, within the Software Lifecycle Services team. The SLS Senior Consultant is responsible for leading consultancy engagements and providing advice for Insight’s strategic clients across a variety of engagements. They proactively develop SLS Consultants and Analysts, providing training, coaching and support. In addition, they drive positive results for clients and Insight, including contributing to the development of the LCS practice.

• Own and oversee the delivery of the defined SLS solution and is accountable for meet agreed defined outcomes and utilizing resources and methodologies provided by the central Services organization.

• Where such resources are incomplete, act as the driving force to remediate gaps or develop innovative methodologies to help the LCS practice evolve and grow.

• Engage with and develop relationships with the solution sales community to support pre-sales activity, including positioning and scoping of SLS solutions.

• Oversee the completion of operational implementation of SAM tooling, including but not limited to data preparation and configuration in the tooling, and core enablement for clients (where in scope).

• Ensure the delivery of a variety of licensing analyses and reconciliations independently, using the population of SLS Analysts and Consultants to perform a wide variety of licensing and managed services.

• Responsible for the quality assurance of SLS work.

• Responsible for managing a portfolio of client engagements or the delivery of a major managed service that involves multiple teammates.

• Accountable for the ef efficiency, timeliness, and quality of the SLS delivery, in a manner that considers the client and Insight’s business needs.

• Act as a hunter for net new opportunities within clients and prospects.

• Proactively identify and act upon opportunities to improve the value Insight delivers to clients and ef efficiency of Insight operations.

• Lead strategic reviews or planning workshops involving senior client personnel.

• Act as a sounding board advisor to SLS teammate enquiries, including complex service desk related topics.

• Lead teammates to drive the development of differentiated intellectual property.

• Responsible for the growth and maintenance of the LCS knowledge base and process libraries including the review and approval of new contributions from SLS and LCS teammates.

• Act as a technical pre-sales subject matter expert to sales teammates to define solutions to client requirements that are aligned to the LCS strategy and drive the growth of Insight’s services footprint.

 

We are looking for a Sr. SLS consultant with:

Essential

• IT and Licensing knowledge across at least three software publishers to the level of being able to produce reconciliations independently

• High level of verbal and written English

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with teammates and clients at senior levels

• Regularly presents draft deliverables and manages queries and objections in a calm, clear and concise manner

• Ability to interpret multiple data sets and summarize key points, highlighting methods used, expectations and issues. Can critically assess trends and observations to produce coherent recommendations

• Ability to execute product functionality demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels for at least one SAM tool (e.g. Flexera, Snow, Aspera, ELD)

• Knowledge of markets within the IT and Technology sectors. Business acumen with the ability to interpret client needs and consult in a success-oriented way

• Proven ability to own and manage escalations

 

Desirable

• Experience of working with a variety of IT tools (e.g. Microsoft SCCM, ServiceNow or SQL scripting)

• Fluent in an additional European language

• Holds relevant professional Project management qualifications

• Ability to deliver across multiple SAM related toolsets and ability to deliver proof of concepts to support pre-sales activity

• Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity and inclusion

• High level of problem solving and analytical skills, experience of championing change management programs and continuous improvement initiatives

• Ability to demonstrate resilience and flexibility of approach and manage uncertainty and ambiguity for themselves and others

• Shows a track record of developing the SLS practice
