About the Team:

Software Lifecycle Services (SLS) is an integral part of LCS. SLS provides the technical delivery and analysis to support LCS advisory projects and run Software Asset Management (SAM) related managed services. SAM is a set of proven IT practices that unite people, processes, and technology to control and optimize the use of software across an organization. SAM helps control costs as well as manage business and legal risks, optimise software licensing investments, and align IT with business needs.

 

As a SLS Consultant, you will get to:

 

The SLS Consultant resides within the Licence Consulting team area of the EMEA Services function and, specifically, within the Software Lifecycle Services team. The SLS Consultant is responsible for providing consultancy and acting as a key resource for SLS services and Insight’s clients. They produce robust draft deliverables with minimal support. In addition, the SLS Consultant uses and contributes to the Insight knowledge base and methodologies to advance client operations and drive innovation and ef ficiency, meeting defined highquality outputs.

 

• Own and drive the completion of operational implementation of SAM tooling, including but not limited to data preparation and configuration in the tooling, core enablement for clients (where in scope).

• Delivers a variety of licensing analyses and reconciliations independently, using the population of SLS Analysts to perform data gathering, preparation and analysis.

• Responsible for ensuring the quality assurance of SLS Analyst’s work.

• Responsible for coordinating multiple concurrent tasks for own work and SLS Analysts in an ef ficient manner including tracking progress against deadlines and expected effort, as well as addressing issues such as anomalies and conflicts.

• Deliver analyses and observations that can support improved ef ficiency in client and Insight operations including producing regular reporting and strategic reviews or planning workshops, whether delivered by SLS or LCS teammates.

• Provide second line subject matter assistance to clients via the service desk where escalated by SLS Analysts.

• Use of , and ongoing contribution to, the LCS knowledge base and process libraries. This includes a review of new contributions f rom SLS and LCS teammates.

• Adopt a proactive approach to engaging with local account teams or solution sales teams to build an understanding of client requirements and help drive the delivery of solutions.

• Acts as a technical pre-sale’s advisor to Account Managers and Inside Sales Associates.

• Support the onboarding and development of SLS Analysts.

• To proactively analyse opportunities to increase the Insight services footprint within clients or propose innovations for new and evolved SLS service offerings.

 

We are looking for a SLS consultant with:

Essential

• Minimum 4 years od expereicne in IT and Licensing knowledge (and where agreed by management, associated certification) for at least three software publishers to the level of being able to produce reconciliations independently, including guiding LCS teammates around how to perform the detailed analysis work

• High level of written and spoken English

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact ef fectively with peers and internal and external stakeholders at a senior level

• Ability to interpret multiple data sets and summarise key points, highlighting methods used, expectations and issues. Able to critically assess trends and observations to produce coherent recommendations

• Ability to execute product functionality demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels for at least one SAM tool (e.g. Flexera, Snow, Aspera, ELD

• Developing business acumen with awareness of potential client needs and perceptions of service quality. Consults with management in a success-oriented way, pro-actively suggesting ways to improve relationships
 

Desirable

• Experience of working with a variety of IT tools (e.g. Microsoft SCCM, ServiceNow or SQL scripting)

• Fluent in an additional European language

• Holds relevant professional Project Management qualification

• Ability to deliver across multiple SAM related toolsets and ability to deliver proof of concepts to support pre-sales activity

• Proven ability to own and manage escalations, defines, and follows through on areas that will develop the SLS practice

• Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion
