About the role

As an SLS Consultant (ELP/SAM Pro), you will be maintaining an accurate asset register and delivering clear reports and analyses that support asset management decisions. We will count on you to support audit fieldwork with strong record integrity, conduct entry-level Financial Operations (FinOps) activities such as monitoring cloud spending, generating cost reports, identify basic optimization opportunities, and support tagging initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains an accurate asset register using established tools, techniques, and processes, and produces reports and analysis to support asset management activities and decision-making. 
• Supports ITAM data analytics by gathering and preparing data from multiple sources, applying analytical and statistical methods and tools to develop reports, assisting in identifying trends and insights to inform decisions and collaborating with team members to refine techniques and maintain data quality. 
• Serves as a routine contact point with counterparties for contract management, supports the collection of contract performance data, and produces standard contract performance reports. 
• Provides support on the use of existing ITAM methods and tools, configures and maintains them within a known context, creates and updates related documentation, and identifies and resolves basic tool-usage issues. 
• Serves as a routine customer contact point handling diverse inquiries and service requests, performs initial investigation and diagnosis to resolve or escalate issues as appropriate, contributes to developing service standards and procedures, and assists in analysing service performance data to identify improvement opportunities. 
• Executes and documents audit fieldwork per agreed standards, maintains record integrity to satisfy audit trails, and identifies typical risk indicators with corresponding prevention measures. 
• Provide project support, assist planning, scheduling, tracking, reporting with established tools; follow recommended solutions for proper documentation and communication; collaborate to gather updates, maintain records, ensure alignment; participate in boards, assurance, and quality reviews.

What we’re looking for

• Education:  
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. IT, Business or Finance) and can demonstrate equivalent work experience. 

• Qualifications:  
  • Working knowledge of IT asset management including license reconciliation processes. 
  • Proficiency with an ITAM/SAM tool (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, USU). 
  • Knowledge of licensing models for one or two tier 1 vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, Salesforce) or multiple tier 2 vendors. 

• Certifications: 
  • ITAM Tool certification (e.g. Flexera, ServiceNow, USU); IAITAM certifications (CSAM or CITAM) or ITAMOrg certifications (ITAMF, SAMS, HAMS), ITIL Foundation, FinOps Practitioner, vendor specific licensing or cloud certifications.  

• Technical skills: 
  • Working knowledge of a SAM tool (Flexera, SNOW or Aspera, ELD) 
    Experience of IT tools (e.g. Microsoft SCCM, ServiceNow or SQL scripting)  
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) 
  • Intermediate AI prompting skills.
