About the role

 

As a Cloud Engineer II, you will get to:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure resources across AWS (primary cloud) and Azure (secondary cloud), including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases. 
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep (Good to have). 
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to automate application and infrastructure deployments. 
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS). 
  • Support cloud migration initiatives using tools such as Azure Migrate and assist with disaster recovery and BCDR implementations. (Server and Storage migration)
  • Perform troubleshooting, performance optimization, and cost optimization across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments to support successful project delivery. 

 

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar or related role is required. 
  • Any relevant cloud certification is a plus. 
  • Hands-on experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure) is a must (minimum 2 or more years of experience) 
  • Familiarity with writing infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, CloudFormation) is a must. 
  • Working experience with at least one of the CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Azure Repos) is required. 
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix-based systems is a must. 
  • Proficiency in either of the following (preferably AWS)
    • Azure: Azure Virtual Machines, VNet, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Azure AD, Load Balancers, DNS, and Application Gateway. 
    • AWS: EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, Elastic Load Balancers, and Auto Scaling. 
  • Experience in cloud migration and disaster recovery planning, including hands-on experience with tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and similar migration frameworks for workload assessment, migration, and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) implementations. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure 
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics 
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet
