SAP Systems Analyst - Senior

Primary Work Location

The candidate’s primary work location will be one of the following:

• Gurgaon, Bangalore

Work Description

The candidate will collaborate with leadership, functional and technical teams to:

• Analyze production issues to determine root causes.
• Participate in business process improvement discussions.
• Perform analysis with the intent of driving out the business needs and determining the necessary system enhancements.
• Design global solutions to meet the requirements while considering any constraints due to existing customizations and downstream processes.
• Produce resource work estimates for planning purposes.
• Configure SAP.
• Write functional design specifications to act as instructions for the development team where configuration does not fully meet the requirements.
• Perform unit and integration tests to ensure a quality product has been produced before releasing the solution to Quality Control and end-user testers.
• Manage the deployment of the solution with the assistance of technical and functional teams.

Leadership

The candidate will not be responsible for direct reports however, they will have the opportunity to manage individual work requests and projects.  In these cases, the candidate will be tasked with managing the software development life cycle (SDLC) for the requests.  This typically requires leading small development and deployment teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience performing the SAP Business Systems Analyst role.
• SAP Business Systems Analyst experience with at least 5 full SAP implementations or major projects.
• Interact with all organizational levels and across all business functions to effectively and credibly communicate complex problems and solutions.
• Display the will to stay current with SAP technological innovations.
• Ability to identify resources and estimate level of effort needed to accomplish work based on minimal detail.
• Accept ownership and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.

SAP Skill Requirements

The candidate must have experience working with SAP enhancements and custom routines in addition to functional and technical knowledge of the following module(s) and business processes.

SD – Sales and Distribution:

• Pricing
• Sales Documents
• Billing
• Sales document processing including holds
• Claims and Returns processing
• Customer Master, Customer Hierarchy, and Business Partners
• API integration (application program interfaces)
• EDI/Idocs
• Revenue recognition (preferred)
• WBS elements (preferred)
• Project systems (preferred)

ABAP:

• The ability to read and debug ABAP code for defect resolution or simple enhancement.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers to solve more complex problems.

Integration:

• Integration with 3rd party applications and / or hosted services.

SAP Troubleshooting:

• Use of standard SAP tcodes to troubleshoot issues such as hung processes and system dumps.
