Senior SAP Hybris Commerce Developer

General Accountability:

Reporting to the Manager, IT, The Senior Developer is responsible for maintaining or developing software applications as well as are expected to have mastered software development.  This role is responsible for providing advisory level consultation to clients, project managers and other members of their team.  Senior Developers will have mastered software development best practices and coding standards.  Acting as technical leaders on their respective teams is an integral part of the Senior Developer role. Senior Developers are expected to work under minimal supervision.

Specific Accountabilities:

1. Perform the analysis and design for complex projects
2. Contribute to application architecture
3. Write code using appropriate technologies
4. Write technical specifications
5. Create unit test documentation and perform tests specified within the documents
6. Participate in code review sessions
7. Deliver high-level planning and estimations
8. Manage small projects and releases
9. Assist with business analysis and client needs
10. Interact directly with clients and ensure their satisfaction
11. Provide advisory level support to other team members
12. Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts and procedures as appropriate to project requirements
13. Attend internal special interest groups relating to the Developer competency

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Skills & Abilities)

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field required
2. 8+ years of relevant experience in software development
3. Experience with high level technical solution delivery
4. Extensive understanding of development methodologies
5. Strong coding experience in e-commerce web and application development.
6. Strong experience is development / customizations on SAP Commerce (Hybris).

   7. Backoffice customizations
7. Strong working knowledge of other related SAP Customer Experience Products including Gigya, SAP Subscription Billing, etc.
8. Strong experience working on Databases including MS SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
9. Strong experience writing and using JUnits and Functional tests.
10. Familiarity with API development.
11. Nice to have Knowledge / Experience with client side JavaScript framework such as React, Angular.
